  • Patent number: 11330087
Abstract: Various systems and methods for implementing a software defined industrial system are described herein. For example, an orchestrated system of distributed nodes may run an application, including modules implemented on the distributed nodes. In response to a node failing, a module may be redeployed to a replacement node. In an example, self-descriptive control applications and software modules are provided in the context of orchestratable distributed systems. The self-descriptive control applications may be executed by an orchestrator or like control device and use a module manifest to generate a control system application. For example, an edge control node of the industrial system may include a system on a chip including a microcontroller (MCU) to convert IO data. The system on a chip includes a central processing unit (CPU) in an initial inactive state, which may be changed to an activated state in response an activation signal.

  • Patent number: 11328411
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting defects on a reticle are provided. One system includes computer subsystem(s) configured for performing at least one repeater defect detection step in front-end processing during an inspection process performed on a wafer having features printed in a lithography process using a reticle. The at least one repeater defect detection step performed in the front-end processing includes identifying any defects detected at corresponding locations in two or more test images by double detection and any defects detected by stacked defect detection as first repeater defect candidates. One or more additional repeater defect detections may be performed on the first repeater defect candidates to generate final repeater defect candidates and identify defects on the reticle from the final repeater defect candidates.

  • Patent number: 11327004
Abstract: Systems and methods of using the same for functional fluorescence imaging of live cells in suspension with isotropic three dimensional (3D) diffraction-limited spatial resolution are disclosed. The method-live cell computed tomography (LCCT)-involves the acquisition of a series of two dimensional (2D) pseudo-projection images from different perspectives of the cell that rotates around an axis that is perpendicular to the optical axis of the imaging system. The volumetric image of the cell is then tomographically reconstructed.

  • Publication number: 20220136336
Abstract: A drill string connect tool comprises a housing having first and second sections. The first section has a first recess, and the second section has a second recess. The tool and the first and sections may be in a connected configuration or a disconnected configuration. The connect tool comprises at least one tension member placeable within, and suitable to transfer tensile forces between, the first and second sections when in the connected configuration. A retaining member can retain the tension member within the first and second recesses. The retaining member is selectively dissolvable by a dissolving fluid, while the remaining components of the tool can withstand the dissolving fluid. When exposed to a dissolving fluid, the retaining member dissolves, allowing the tension member to exit the first and second recesses, thereby actuating the tool to the disconnected configuration.

  • Publication number: 20220135530
Abstract: This disclosure shows the ability of a readily-available oxidizer to achieve oxidation of 5-amino-1H-tetrazole (5-AT) to 5-nitrotetrazole (5-NT) in high yields in a single pot synthesis. This strategy reduces the synthesis of this important energetic material down to a single step and eliminates highly sensitive diazonium and copper salt primary explosive intermediates. The overall yield of this process is 48-53% and the resultant aqueous solution of product effectively used for the preparation of nitrotetrazole-containing primary explosive DBX-1. Unlike current methods of nitrotetrazole preparation, the novel method is entirely solution-based and prepares a final solution of sodium nitrotetrazolate, never once needing to handle energetic intermediates or products, making it a much safer method of nitrotetrazole preparation.

  • Publication number: 20220141223
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to adverse user behavior detection and mitigation. In examples, a user account of a social platform may be trusted or untrusted. If the user account is untrusted, activity of the user account may be buffered so as to not directly affect social metrics of the social platform. For example, if the untrusted user account follows a target user account, the untrusted user account may be added to a separate set of followers or otherwise separated from a set of trusted followers of the target user account. Eventually, each user account in the separate set is evaluated to determine whether the user account has transitioned to a trusted user. If the user account is now trusted, it may be migrated to the set of trusted followers. However, if the user account is untrusted, it may be removed from the separate set, thereby reverting the activity.

  • Publication number: 20220135340
Abstract: An apparatus for vertical transfer of whole nuts from a first elevation to a second, lower elevation includes a run extending between an entrance and an exit, and having a plurality of alternatingly arranged conveying panels between the entrance and the exit. Each conveying panel is inclined at approximately 30 degrees to horizontal and has a predefined width. The apparatus further includes arcuate turn-arounds disposed between respective conveying panels to facilitate transferring the nuts from one conveying panel to the next lower conveying panel. The predefined width of the conveying panels is selected based on a predetermined mass flow rate of nuts such that whole nuts move along the run in a continuous stream without tumbling, and wherein each nut is in contact with adjacent nuts in its respective layer.
