  • Publication number: 20170072681
Abstract: An ejector is caused to eject a liquid such that first patterns are formed in a first direction on a medium while the ejector is moved outward, second patterns are formed in one-to-one correspondence with the first patterns with different first amounts of interval in the first direction from the first patterns while the ejector is moved backward, and a third pattern is formed in an end region that is at least a part of an end of the first patterns in the second direction and at least a part of an end of the second patterns in the second direction.

  • Publication number: 20170072715
Abstract: A liquid ejecting apparatus includes an ejecting unit that includes a nozzle column configured to eject liquid, the ejecting unit being configured to reciprocate along a first direction that intersects the nozzle column; a transport unit configured to transport a medium in a second direction that intersects the first direction; and a control unit configured to control the ejecting unit and the transport unit such that first and second patterns are formed. The first and second patterns are formed such that a plurality of boundaries between the first pattern and the second pattern are formed in between boundary portions of the first pattern and boundary portions of the second pattern.

  • Publication number: 20170072680
Abstract: A first pattern and second patterns, having a plurality of sub-patterns, are formed while an ejector is moved in a forward direction, and a third pattern and fourth patterns are formed while the ejector is moved in a backward direction. The third pattern has sub-patterns deviating in sequence from the respective sub-patterns of the first pattern in the first directions by a first deviation amount. The fourth patterns each have sub-patterns deviating in sequence from the respective sub-patterns of the second patterns in the first directions by a second deviation amount. The positions of sub-patterns of a rough adjustment pattern, including the first and the third pattern, and the positions of sub-patterns of fine adjustment patterns, including the second and the fourth patterns, are associated with each other. In each fine adjustment pattern, image density periodically changes along the first directions and one or more cycles of periodic changes are included.

  • Patent number: 9579894
Abstract: A liquid discharging apparatus includes a discharging unit that includes a row of nozzles configured to discharge a liquid, the discharging unit being configured to reciprocate in an outward direction and a return direction, the outward and return directions being transverse to the nozzle row; and a transport unit configured to intermittently transport a medium in a direction transverse to the outward and return directions. The liquid discharging apparatus is configured to form at least one adjustment pattern for adjusting a transport amount of each individual transport during the intermittent transport. The liquid discharging apparatus is configured to form the at least one adjustment pattern such that the at least one adjustment pattern includes both an outward direction movement pattern formed while moving the discharging unit in the outward direction and a return direction movement pattern formed while moving the discharging unit in the return direction.

  • Patent number: 9550386
Abstract: A liquid discharging apparatus includes a discharging unit that includes a nozzle row that discharges a liquid, and that is able to reciprocate in a first direction that intersects the nozzle row; a transport unit that transports a medium in a second direction that intersects the first direction; and a reading unit that reads the liquid discharged from the discharging unit to the medium. The liquid discharging apparatus is configured to execute an adjustment pattern forming operation for forming a first adjustment pattern for adjusting a landing position of the liquid discharged from the discharging unit in the first direction and a second adjustment pattern for adjusting the landing position of the liquid discharged from the discharging unit in the second direction on the medium, and an adjustment pattern reading operation for reading the first and second adjustment pattern with the reading unit according to a single command.
