  • Patent number: 8647316
Abstract: An ostomy receiving bag includes front and rear walls sealed along a rim of the bag and a cover sheet attached to the bag. The bag has a lateral midline located between an upper end of the bag and a bottom end of the bag, with an inlet opening nearer to the upper end than to the bottom end of the bag. The cover sheet is attached to the upper end of the bag at the rim and covers at least part of one of the walls to form a pocket and an unattached edge between the upper end of the bag and the bottom end of the bag. A collecting volume of the bag is reduced by at least 25% when the bottom end of the bag is placed under the cover sheet to a position between the lateral midline and the upper end of the bag.

  • Patent number: 8152499
Abstract: An eccentric screw pump with an annular outer part (10; 40; 74) and an inner part (12; 42; 72) arranged therein has an interior of the outer part (10; 40; 74) and an exterior of the inner part (12; 42; 72) tapering in a complementary manner towards an axial end (16; 46; 70). In the axial direction (X, W), the inner part (12; 42; 72) and the outer part (10; 40; 74) are movably received in relation to each other and the inner part (12; 42; 72) and/or the outer part (10; 40; 74) are configured in such a manner that pressure applied to the pressure side of the eccentric screw pump generates a force that acts upon the inner part (12; 42; 72) axially to the direction in which the inner part (12; 42; 72) tapers and/or a force that acts upon the outer part (10; 40; 74) in an opposite axial direction.

  • Patent number: 8002759
Abstract: A disposable ostomy receiving bag having front and rear walls sealed together along the rim thereof and having a top end and a bottom end, and a cover of a sheet material covering one or both surfaces of the bag and only secured to the wall along the part of the rim being superimposed on the sealed rim of the front and rear walls. The bottom end can be folded to reduce the size of the bag, with the folded end discreetly hidden under the cover sheet. Should a larger collecting volume be needed, unfolding of the bag allows for an easy enlargement of the active volume of the bag simply by withdrawing the end of the bag from under the cover sheet.

  • Patent number: 7150728
Abstract: A collecting bag is provided with a vent aperture to allow for escape of gases which may accumulate in the bag during use. The vent aperture is formed in an extension member that is connected with the bag member. In order to bring the vent aperture from a fully open condition to a fully closed condition, the extension member is folded at least once along a folding line, thereby bringing a first engagement surface into engagement with a second engagement surface. A net element may be positioned between the inlet opening of the bag member and the extension member and a filter device may be positioned within the extension member.

  • Patent number: 7028924
Abstract: A sprinkler nozzle having a nozzle housing with an inlet for liquid and having a longitudinally extending axis. The nozzle housing, opposite the inlet, is delimited by a surface of revolution with nozzle outlet openings arranged around the axis. In the flow direction opposite the nozzle outlet openings, respective impact faces are arranged for reflecting the liquid that flows out through the nozzle outlet openings. The impact faces are constituted by the ends of respective threads that are secured to the nozzle housing, whereby the impact faces are able to reflect water that flows out of the respective nozzle outlet openings.

  • Patent number: 6902551
Abstract: An ostomy appliance including an adhesive barrier member having a hole for receiving a stoma, ureter, or catheter, an outer receiving member or bag releasably attached to the adhesive barrier member, and a disposable inner bag liner releasably attached to the adhesive barrier member. A single base coupling ring is attached to the barrier member and includes a first coupling area on an inner surface thereof, relative to the hole, and a second coupling on an outer surface thereof. The inner bag, which is coupled to the barrier member using an inner bag coupling ring, is coupled to the barrier member at the first coupling area and the outer receiving member is coupled to the barrier member at the second coupling area, such that both the inner bag and outer receiving member are mounted on the same single barrier member ring.

  • Publication number: 20040171999
Abstract: A disposable ostomy receiving bag comprising front and rear walls sealed together along the rim thereof and having a top end and a bottom end wherein the top end of the rear wall is provided with an inlet opening, wherein the receiving bag is provided with a further cover of a sheet material covering one or both surfaces thereof wherein the cover sheet at at least one of the surfaces is provided with a cut defining a part of the cover which only covers a part of the corresponding wall and is only secured to the wall along the part of the rim being superimposed on the sealed rim of the front and rear walls. This folding reduces the size of the bag and keeps the folded end discreetly hidden under the cover sheet and thus ensures discretion. Furthermore, it allows for an easy enlargement of the active volume of the bag simply by withdrawing the end of the bag from under the cover sheet, should a larger collecting volume suddenly be needed in situations where there is difficult or no access to a rest room.
