Patent number: 8189817Abstract: System for pulse-width-modulated class D audio amplifiers. In one preferred embodiment an adder is described to generate a difference signal responsive to an input signal and a feedback signal, a pulse-width-modulator coupled to the adder to compare the difference signal to a reference signal and produce a pulse-width-modulated signal based on the comparing, a filter coupled to an output of the pulse-width-modulator, and a loop filter having a first input coupled to the output of the filter and a second input coupled to the input of the filter, the loop filter to generate a feedback signal by applying transfer functions to signals at its inputs. The loop transfer function of the amplifier is minimum aliasing error transfer function. The minimum aliasing error properties provide low distortion and taking the feedback from the output of the filter reduces high frequency output impedance.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2008Date of Patent: May 29, 2012Assignee: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Lars Risbo, Soeren Poulsen

Patent number: 7750731Abstract: One embodiment of an apparatus for filtering an electrical signal includes a loop filter with an input and an output that applies a transfer function to a signal at the input. The transfer function has substantially no real part. The loop filter has a dominant pole placed substantially at or above an upper frequency in the frequency range of interest for the loop filter.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2008Date of Patent: July 6, 2010Assignee: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Soeren Poulsen, Lars Risbo

Patent number: 7365598Abstract: A switch-mode modulator operating at a two-level voltage and including an alternating output stage (3), an optional output filter (5) and a feedback including a function block (14) with a transfer function (MFB). The modulator furthermore includes a forward block (12) provided with means for calculating the difference between the signal (14a) originating from the function block (14) and a reference signal (REF) as well as with a transfer function (MFW). The output (13) of the forward block (12) is the input of a Schmitt-trigger (9), which generates switch on signals (2) for changing the output stage. The output voltage (VOUT) of the modulator applying either after the optional output filter (5) or the output stage (3) is fed back through the function block (14) so as to generate the signal (14a) fed back.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2004Date of Patent: April 29, 2008Assignee: Danmarks Tekniske UniversitetInventor: Søren Poulsen

Patent number: 6262377Abstract: Based on a non-orderly flow of supplied articles, which may also be sticky articles of food, there is effected in a compulsory manner an isolation of mutually separated small article portions, which are moved through a weighing station (20) and thereafter brought together selectively into larger portions, e..g, with a predetermined weight. In a preferred system according to the invention use is made of an endless row of carrier trays (12) which, in two straight runs, pass along a number of receiver containers (22), into which they are selectively emptied after having passed the weighing station. In front of this station distributor means (14, 18) are provided above a horizontal reversing path of the tray chain for ensuring that the supplied articles are distributed to the trays without overlapping therebetween. Various advantageous embodiments of the single parts of the system to work with a desirably high capacity.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 1998Date of Patent: July 17, 2001Assignee: Scanvagt A/SInventors: Ulrich Carlin Nielsen, Søren Poulsen, Henrik Grundtvig, Jesper Skovsgard
