  • Patent number: 5252798
Abstract: A light irradiating switch apparatus which is comparatively small in vertical dimension and low in production cost. The light irradiating switch apparatus comprises a casing, a printed circuit board mounted on the casing, a switch element mounted on the printed circuit board, a light source mounted on the printed circuit board, a light intercepting slide member mounted for sliding movement in the casing, and a light transmitting key top mounted on the slide member and having an indicating portion thereon. The printed circuit board having a slot formed therein in such a manner as to surround the light source, and the slide member has an end portion fitted in the slot of the printed circuit board for movement in a perpendicular direction to the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5216399
Abstract: An automatic cancelling device for electric-type blinkers comprises: a case; a blinker operation lever pivotably connected to the case about an axis; an engagement rod slidably disposed on the blinker operation lever and biased in a direction away from the axis by a compression spring; a lane-change cam rigidly connected to the case and positioned to contact the engagement rod, the lane-change cam having an stepped portion for creating a clicking feeling at a right and a left position to which the blinker operation lever swings; a locking protrusion provided on the blinker operation lever; a locking member adapted to engage the locking protrusion so as to lock the blinker operation lever at its right or left position and capable of moving toward and away from the locking protrusion; and a locking-member driving member which moves the locking member so as to effect engagement and disengagement between the locking member and the locking protrusion.

  • Patent number: 4939540
Abstract: An automatic canceling device for a winker system of an automobile that can effectively reduce the size of the solenoid incorporated and hence the overall size as well as the manufacturing cost of the device is provided. Such an automatic canceling device comprises a case, a winker operating lever pivotably fitted to the case, an expandable engaging section connected to the lever by way of a compression spring, a locking cam unit provided within the case and engaged with the engaging section to hold the lever in a neutral, left or right position, a releasing member provided in abutment with a cam provided on the lever to return the lever to its unlocked position and a solenoid to be energized by a release signal to activate the releasing member.

  • Patent number: 4871885
Abstract: The on-off operation of the switch as the slide switch is effected by moving the operating knob in the first horizontal direction, namely, the X-direction to move the slider A together with the slider B in the same direction and thereby sliding the first contactor in the X-direction on an associated pattern formed on a switch board. On the other hand, the on-off operation of the switch as the push switch is effected by pushing the operating knob in the second horizontal direction, namely, the Y-direction perpendicular to the X-direction to engage the cam M of the slider A with the engageable portion of the slider C and move the slider C in the Z-direction perpendicular to the Y-direction against the biasing force of the second spring, and thereby sliding the second contactor in the Z-direction on an associated pattern on the switch board.

  • Patent number: 4843192
Abstract: A push-button switch having an individual and interlocking action is provided which includes two operating members. The push-button switch comprises first and second sliders, each having a heart-shaped cam groove formed thereon. Actuator pins are provided for engagement with the cam grooves to provide the desired individual and interlocking action. The interlocking action is effectuated when the first slider is depressed while the second slider is locked at its depressed position. The invention allows the second slider to return to its unlocked nondepressed position while the first slider then becomes locked in its depressed position. The push-button switch has high versatility since the distance between the sliders can be easily changed. Further, common parts can be used individually for the sliders thus improving manufacturing efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4795860
Abstract: A push switch comprises first and second push/lock mechanisms, and first and second switch units. The operating members of the first and second push/lock mechanisms are disposed opposite to the corresponding levers of the first and second switch units. A first driving pin whose one end is secured to the slider of the first switch unit is pressably engaged at the other end with cam member of the second push/lock mechanism, whereas a second driving pin whose one end is secured to the slider of the second switch unit is pressably engaged at the other end with the cam member of the first push/lock mechanism.
