Abstract: A network-enabled bicycle comprising a bicycle frame and an electronic device mounted to said bicycle frame is provide. The electronic device of network-enabled bicycle is configured to communicating with other network-enabled bicycles and/or a server via a wireless network access point. In general, a set of network-enabled bicycles are equipped with respective electronic devices which are programmed for allowing the bicycles in the set of bicycles to exchange data directly or indirectly with each other and/or exchange data directly or indirectly with the server via one or more of the wireless network access points connected to the server through a data network. In accordance with one specific example of implementation, the network-enabled bicycle connects to the wireless network access point over an open Wi-Fi connection.
