  • Patent number: 10015216
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for providing a virtual conference using a master device implemented with a personal communication device (PCD), including determining, by the master device, a latency for each of a plurality of satellite devices connected to the master device. The master device then determines an uplink buffer duration based on a difference between a highest latency and a lowest latency among the plurality of satellite devices. The master device determines a processing time for an uplink data packet, the processing time being determined based, at least in part, on the uplink buffer duration. The master device then performs signal processing at the processing time for the received uplink data packets.

Date of Patent: July 3, 2018
    Assignee: QUALCOMM Incorporated
Inventors: Song Wang, Soumya Das, Sanghyun Chi, Karthika Paladugu, Soham Vikrambhai Sheth, Arungundram Chandrasekaran Mahendran
  • Patent number: 9596552
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein, a method including, but not limited to, transmitting, at a first frame time, a first number of redundant data packets; transmitting, at a second frame time, a second number of redundant data packets in response to data packet loss beyond a predetermined tolerance level, the second number being greater than the first number; and transmitting, at a third frame time, a third number of redundant data packets, the third number is between the first number and the second number.

  • Patent number: 9392386
Abstract: Systems are described for managing audio in a public addressing (PA) system, the system comprising a host configured to generate an adjustment request; and a client configured to establish a session with a personal communication device (PCD); receive a first audio sample from the PCD; transmit the first audio sample to the PA system; receive the adjustment request from the host; receive a second audio sample from the PCD; and adjust the second audio sample in response to the adjustment request.

  • Publication number: 20160142453
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein, a method including, but not limited to, receiving, by a client, audio data and uplink data simultaneously from one of a plurality of Personal Communication Devices (PCDs) connected to the client. The uplink data includes at least one of device information and session identifier. The client sends downlink data to each of the plurality of PCDs based on the uplink data. The client further sends the audio data to the PA system for sounding.

  • Publication number: 20160142875
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for locating a user of a personal communication device (PCD) at a venue. A method may include: receiving a request to determine a location of the PCD from the PCD; receiving information corresponding to a signal measurement regarding a signal received by at least one access point at the venue from the PCD; and determining the location of the PCD based at least in part on the received information.
