  • Patent number: 12221854
Abstract: A wellbore chemical injection assembly includes an extension flange including two ends joined by a flange wall defining an inlet. The first end can fluidically couple to a tubing spool inlet of a wellhead installed at a wellbore surface. The second end can fluidically couple to a fluidic outlet of the wellhead. An extension member is attached to the flange wall at the inlet at a non-zero angle. An axial length of the extension member defines a through opening of increasing inner diameter from the inlet towards an end of the extension member. The end can be fluidically coupled to a chemical reservoir from which chemical is injected through the extension member and the extension flange into the tubing spool. Multiple valves are seated in the through opening of the extension member. The multiple valves are sized differently to seal the through opening of increasing diameter.

  • Publication number: 20240309719
Abstract: A wellhead includes a tubing head adapter, a tubing hanger arranged within the tubing adapter, and a dual flapper back pressure valve arranged within the tubing hanger and including an elongate body having opposing upper and lower ends, an inner flowpath defined within the body and extending between the opposing upper and lower ends, and a flapper assembly arranged within the inner flow path and including a flapper pivotably mounted to an inner wall of the inner flow path at a pivoting mechanism. When the flapper is in a closed position, the flapper forms a sealed interface with the inner wall of the inner flow path that prevents fluids from circulating through the tubing hanger and through the inner flowpath from the lower end to the upper end.

Abstract: A wellbore completion system and method having a tieback string and a seal system. The tieback string includes a receptacle end defining an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of a liner. The liner is configured to be disposed within a wellbore and defines an annulus between an external surface of the liner and a wall of the wellbore. The receptacle end is configured to be disposed within the annulus to receive a portion of the liner. The seal system is coupled to an internal surface of the receptacle end. The seal system includes an annular seal configured to swell inwardly upon contact to a wellbore fluid having an oil-based fluid to form, with the portion of the liner inserted within the receptacle end, a seal with the external surface of the liner. The tieback string is fluidly coupled, with the seal formed, to the liner to receive production fluid from the liner.

  • Publication number: 20240102371
Abstract: Systems and methods include an importance that each of the attributes and features of the well data has on machine learning models. Well data is collected for each well in an unconventional field, including attributes and features of basin data, completion data, and production data. Spatial features are generated for each well in different regions. A combined well features dataset is generated. The dataset maps the well data to the spatial features for each well in the different regions. A training dataset and a testing dataset are generated by splitting the combined dataset. A machine learning model is trained using cross-validation and tuning on the training dataset to predict estimated ultimate recovery (EUR). The performance of a machine learning (EUR) model is evaluated with respect to different regression metrics. An importance that each of the attributes and features of the well data has on machine learning models is determined.
