  • Patent number: 8733385
Abstract: A cleaner for the inside of a water tank utilizing a siphoning action is provided, in which the interior of a water passage (24) between an upstream-side one-way valve (Vu) and a downstream-side one-way valve (Vd) is pressurized or depressurized by a pressing operation of a suction operation tool (A) provided in a bent connecting part between a main body portion (1) and a grip portion (2) of a suction pipe (P), and water-tank water of the main body portion (1) is sucked into the suction pipe (P). This enables waste material such as leftover food within water-tank water to be sucked up together with dirty water by a very simple operation.

  • Patent number: 8524077
Abstract: A shower tube cleaning device for a filter for a water tank in which clean water from the filter is returned to the interior of the water tank through the shower tube, which is provided with a plurality of nozzles, wherein an operating rod (11) passing through the interior of the shower tube (5) is linked to a cleaner (10) slidably provided within the shower tube (5), a knob (12) is fixed to the free end of the operating rod (11), and pushing and pulling the knob (12) makes the cleaner (10) reciprocatingly slide to thus scrape off foreign matter within the shower tube (5). This enables an inner face of the shower tube to be cleaned while the shower tube is linked to the filter.

  • Patent number: 7273547
Abstract: The present invention relates to a filtering apparatus including a filter device externally hitched on a wall surface of an aquarium. A water pump pumps water stored in the aquarium into the filter device. The filter device is formed so that the water pumped from the water pump is divided into a first flow which is returned into the aquarium unfiltered, and a second flow which is filtered through a filter element and then returned into the aquarium in dependence on a siphon effect.

  • Publication number: 20040050759
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improvement in filtering apparatus including a filter device externally hitched on a wall surface of a aquarium for breeding aquarium fishes. In the outside-type filtering apparatus including a filter device (F) and detachably supported in an externally hitched manner on a wall surface of a aquarium (V), and a water pump (P) for pumping water stored in the aquarium (V), the filter device (F) is formed so that the water pumped from the water pump (P) is divided into a first flow which is returned into the aquarium (V) as remaining unfiltered, and a second flow which is filtered through a filter element and then returned into the aquarium (V) in dependence on a siphon effect. Thus, it is possible to enhance the filtering action provided by the filter element of the filter device and the organically purifying function provided by aerobic microorganisms, and to suppress the clogging of the filter element to reduce the maintenance frequency of the filter element.

  • Patent number: 6499432
Abstract: A cleaner for the inside of a water tank is designed to draw up water stored within the water tank for aquarium fishes such as goldfishes, tropical fishes and the like to discharge the water to the outside. In this cleaner, a draw-up pipe is comprised of a body portion, and a grip portion connected at an angle of 90° or more to the body portion. A first one-way valve and a second one-way valve are mounted within the draw-up pipe. Thus, the cleaner has a good manipulatability, so that air stored in the cleaner can be reliably discharged, and the discharging of water can be carried out reliably.
