  • Patent number: 4435176
Abstract: A needle assembly for use with a hypodermic syringe having a snout, which comprises a needle, a needle holder having a flare bore section for coupling with the snout of the syringe and a hollow pipe provided in the flared bore section of the needle holder. The pipe is shaped and sized to be inserted in a snout hole when the needle holder couples with the snout through the flared bore section formed therein. The pipe has a passage which communicates with a needle bore through a narrow hole formed in the needle holder. A filter may be provided in the needle holder. The quantity of liquid medicine left in the needle holder and the snout hole of the syringe after the injection is made extremely small. When the filter is provided in the needle holder, impurities can be removed.

  • Patent number: 4430213
Abstract: An ultrafiltration unit for the separation of the colloidal or very fine solid material by filtration through microporous or semipermeable mediums. The unit comprises a filter housing formed by an upper part and a lower part airtightly connected together and a filter internally disposed in the housing. The upper part of the housing has an inlet pipe at its top and a check valve is provided in the inlet pipe. A liquid sample is forced in the upper part of the housing together with air through the inlet pipe, pressed by the pressure of the air and then filtered. An escaping of the air can be blocked by the check valve provided in the inlet pipe of the upper part of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4349022
Abstract: A medical needle assembly for use in or with a syringe or a drip chamber liquid administration system, wherein a hollow, elongated member is loosely fitted to a flexible tube and is engageable with a needle holder element securely fitted to an injection needle so that the needle can be easily and correctly inserted into a patient's vein or the like by fitting the elongated member to the needle holder element and moving the elongated member together with the needle and the needle holder element. Upon completion of the insertion of the needle into the vein, the elongated member is detached from the needle holder element, which is thereafter secured to the patient's body skin by means of, for example, an adhesive tape.

  • Patent number: 4306973
Abstract: A medical liquid dispensing device such as a medical administering dripset or a syringe having a liquid conducting tube comprising at least one partition element forming in the liquid conducting tube, at least two liquid passageways longitudinally separate from each other across the partition element, and at least one elongated microporous tubular element which extends in part in at least one of the two liquid passageways in the liquid conducting tube from the partition element. The tubular element has at least one longitudinal passageway closed in at least one of the liquid passageways in the liquid conducting tube. Thus, the microporous tubular element serves as a microporous filter medium for collecting on its inner and/or outer peripheral surfaces the solid particles contained in a liquid medicament or transfusion blood passed through the microporous tubular element.

  • Patent number: 4099286
Abstract: A cleaner for removing chalk powder from a chalk eraser, comprising an upper case having an aperture through which the chalk eraser is inserted, a lower case removably connected with the upper case for collecting chalk powder and a cleaning plate interposed between the upper and lower cases. The cleaning plate has a plurality of ridges and slots against which the chalk eraser is struck. The upper case has a blocking member closing its aperture and which can be spread open to insert a chalk eraser therethrough. Chalk powder falls into the lower case through the slots and accumulates in the lower case.
