  • Patent number: 5295780
Abstract: A dumping apparatus for a bag filled with molten substance wherein a tippler and a driving apparatus therefor are simplified and miniaturized in structure and a bag can be pulled out smoothly from within a carrying can with a minimized impact and without the possibility of break and can be transferred safely to a pallet. The tippler is mounted for pivotal motion around a stationary axis, and when it is pivoted from a first transfer position, fork prongs thereof are moved from between adjacent rollers of a roller conveyor to take up carrying cans from the roller conveyor. The carrying cans are thereafter held and moved by a side frame of the tippler, and when the tippler is pivoted to a second transfer position at which the side frame thereof is inclined downwardly, bags filled with molten substance slip somewhat from the carrying cans due to their own weight so that they are partially received on a pallet on a pallet conveyor.

  • Patent number: 5054274
Abstract: An automatic molten substance bagging method and system which facilitates introduction and extrusion of molten substance into and from a fixed volume member and performs extrusion of molten substance rapidly by reduced driving force. A carrying can in which a bag is received is first transported to a position below an injector, and vacuum attracting pads are moved toward and then away from each other on the opposite sides of the bag to attract by vacuum and open a mouth portion of the bag. Then, the bag in the attracted condition is lifted by the vacuum attracting pads until a nozzle of the injector is inserted into the open mouth portion of the bag, and then the mouth portion of the bag is clamped by clamp members, whereafter the carrying can is lifted a little. Then, molten substance is injected into the bag from the injector, and during such injection, the carrying can is lifted further.

  • Patent number: 4737064
Abstract: A dumping apparatus for dumping a bag 26 filled with a molten material such as asphalt latex which minimizes damage to or leakage of contents out of the bag. The apparatus includes a tippler 1 on which a transport can 27 containing a bag therein is carried. The tippler is advanced and rotated to tilt and move the can onto a pallet 36 and then retracted and rotated back to move the can to its initial position whereupon the bag is pulled out of the can. In synchronism with the advancing and retracting movement of the tippler, a conveyor 30 on which the pallet is carried is moved toward and then away from the tippler. Thus, the bag partially placed on the pallet is pulled by and hence smoothly transferred onto the pallet as the latter is moved away from the tippler together with the conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4724656
Abstract: An automatic molten substance bagging system which can fill a molten substance such as asphalt latex into a bag in a short period of time fully automatically without operation by hand. A bag is first supplied into a carrying can on a circulating conveyor system and is inflated with air. Then, the bag is filled rapidly with a fixed volume of a molten substance and then further filled moderately with the molten substance until a predetermined weight is reached. The thus filled up bag is sealed at a mouth thereof by a sewing machine, and finally a plurality of such filled up, sealed bags are transferred onto another conveyor for further processing while their carrying cans are left on the circulating conveyor system so as to repeat such a sequence of operations for further bags.
