  • Publication number: 20230330468
Abstract: A unitary exercise device that provides exercise of the core muscles and legs of a user over a full range of motion in performing various physical activities by providing simultaneous counter-balancing tension to the core muscles and legs of the user as he is engaged in performance of the selected physical activity. The exercise device comprises a waist loop, left and right thigh loops, left and right rear and front straps, all of which are elastic materials heat-fused or sewn together to provide an exercise device specifically designed for a specific user. When worn by a user, the elastic rear and front straps of the exercise device provide counter-balancing tension to various muscle groups and legs of the user, dependent on the physical activity being performed, which over time with repetitive use and practice will provide improved performance or rehabilitation to the user when performing subsequently without the exercise device.

  • Publication number: 20200298047
Abstract: An exercise assembly useful for walking, running, skating and cycling comprising a pair of elastic straps adjustable in their respective lengths configured to stretch over the shoulders of a user between a back harness and be connected to thigh straps around each of the user's thighs. The back harness comprises a waist belt and a belt buckle.

  • Patent number: 9446278
Abstract: An exercise assembly useful in training a bicyclist for increased speed includes a pair of elastic straps adjustable in their length to stretch between the rear axle of the bicycle and the bicyclist's respective thighs. The strap attachment to the thighs is effected by a corresponding pair of adjustable elastic hoops that are limited in their elastic expansion by fabric strips attached to each of the hoops at loosely spaced intervals. A set of elastomeric wraps may be further interposed between the thighs and the hoops to expand the contact area and therefore the shear load capacity of the engagement to limit any axial translation of the engagement along the thigh. When not in use the straps can be attached to the bicycle frame both when implemented as a stationary bicycle or when on the road.

  • Patent number: 7998030
Abstract: A rolling resistance producing apparatus is tethered to trail behind a person includes a longitudinally aligned fabric panel stretched on a frame which also engages the rear end of an elastomeric band that is stretched through a sheath formed in the panel to engage a harness tied to selected limbs of the person to provide resistance thereto. The trailing end of the frame is supported on a wheel to follow the person as she or he are moving. A measurement system sensing the movement of the wheel then records the rate of the movement to provide an indication of fatigue.

  • Publication number: 20100233664
Abstract: A speed indicating system useful in training an athlete includes a spool on which a tether line is wound with the free end thereof then secured to the body of the athlete, any selected one of the athlete's limbs, or any object swung, kicked or thrown by the athlete. The spool includes one or more permanent magnet pieces mounted on its periphery in an alignment adjacent an inductive pickup coil which then communicates the current level induced to a meter indicating the tether line deployment rate. The reverse electromotive force resulting from the inductive coupling is then useful to reduce the inertially driven tether line deployment.
