  • Patent number: 8774005
Abstract: A method for congestion response in a communication system that comprises routing capability over a first type network and a second type network is described. The method comprises: —receiving a congestion indication for resources on a route to a target through the first type network, —storing the congestion indication associated to the route, —upon receiving a subsequent request for initiating a set-up of a call on the route, —checking if a congestion indication exists for the route, and—establishing the call on an alternative route to the target through the second type network if said congestion indication exists.

  • Publication number: 20070238460
Abstract: A method and devices for handling dual mode terminals in a network comprising at least two access networks operating according to different standards. The method enables a highly efficient use of network resources as it ensures that terminals are transferred preferably to the network that matches best to the terminal capabilities and subscription permissions. To this end parameter values are introduced describing a preferred access network for a terminal. Furthermore, a new method operating according to the parameter value and a new device for executing the method have been introduced.
