  • Publication number: 20040261477
Abstract: A combination lock is provided, each of buttons of which has to be pressed respective correct numbers of times (including zero time) for unlocking the lock, therefore there is wider variety of different unlocking combinations with limited numbers of buttons, preventing unauthorized persons from easily guessing the current unlocking combination. The combination lock is made such that a knob connected thereto will be, when operated, only capable of turning in an idle manner without causing a dead bolt to disengage a door equipped with the lock unless all numbered buttons of the lock are correctly pressed according to the current unlocking combination, preventing unauthorized persons from succeeding in unlocking the door by means of turning the knob violently.

  • Patent number: 6334346
Abstract: A numeral lock with a resettable feature comprises an engaging plate separably engaging a plurality of locking pins. The locking pins each have a first engaging protrusion, which will block the engaging plate from moving for the lock to be locked. When facing in a first direction, such first engaging protrusions have to be separated from the engaging plate by depressing related locking pins for the numeral lock to be unlocked. The locking pins each connects to a respective one of a plurality of shaped holes of a sliding plate. The shape holes each has a circular hole portion and an elongated hole portion. The locking pins can be rotated when passing through the circular hole portions, and cannot be rotated when passing through the elongated hole portions. The sliding plate is moved so that the locking pins pass through either the circular hole portions or the elongated hole portions thereof.

  • Patent number: 5284037
Abstract: An antitheft device for attachment to a steering wheel of an automobile comprising an elongated body member having two parallel passageways extending in a longitudinal direction. A first hook is secured to the body member for engagement with a portion of the steering wheel. The first hook engages the wheel from the inside of the rim, with the body member extending outward beyond the periphery of the steering wheel, an elongated rod member, adapted to move in telescopic fashion in one of two passageways formed in the body member, and extending longitudinally therein. A second hook, secured to the rod member, engages the inside portion of the steering wheel at a point diametrically opposed to that of the first hook. A second elongated rod member is adapted to extend in telescopic fashion in a direction opposite to that of the other rod member.

  • Patent number: 5130661
Abstract: A tomographic flow imaging system comprising three or more capacitance electrodes positioned around a pipe through which a flow to be monitored passes. The capacitance between each pair of the electrodes is measured, and an output is derived from the measured capacitances which is representative of the distribution of material within the pipe. A predetermined voltage signal is applied to one electrode at a time, and the electrodes other than said one electrode are connected to sources of equal fixed potential. The capacitance of each pair of electrodes is measured by measuring charge flowing between the said other electrode of the pair and the source of potential to which it is connected.
