Abstract: Various embodiments for recommending and displaying content are disclosed. In one example, a method is disclosed that includes generating a first set of content portions from a plurality of content portions based on a plurality of metadata tags in a user profile, wherein the content portions are a subset of frames of a content item; displaying the first set of content portions in an interface provided to a user device corresponding to the user profile; filtering the first set of content portions based on one or more filter inputs to generate a filtered set of content portions; and transmitting the at least one content portion in the filtered set of content portions to the user device for presentation to the user.

Abstract: Various embodiments set forth systems and techniques for personalizing censorship of digital content. The techniques include generating, based on a user characteristic, a censorship profile associated with a user, wherein the censorship profile identifies a censorship element; determining a censorship feature associated with the censorship element, wherein the censorship feature is to be activated during playback of digital content that includes the censorship element; identifying, based on temporal boundaries data and temporal facet data associated with a digital content item, one or more portions of the digital content item that include at least one element matching the censorship element; and activating the censorship feature during playback of the one or more portions of the digital content item.

Abstract: A system performing guided user training includes a computing platform having a hardware processor and a memory storing a software code including a training recommendation engine. The hardware processor executes the software code to receive a login input from a user, identify, using the login input, a role type including the user, and determine, using the role type, one or more core competencies for the user. The software code further identifies, using the training recommendation engine, training resources for use in attaining the one or more core competencies, and generates, using the training recommendation engine and the user training profile, one or more learning playlists for attaining each of the core competencies using at least some of the identified training resources.

Abstract: A method and apparatus in a wireless communications system for presenting a calling party name to a mobile station within the wireless communications system. A communications signal is received from a network to initiate a call to a mobile station within the wireless communications system. Next, a determination is made as to whether the mobile station is provisioned to receive calling party names in response to receiving the communications signal. A calling party name is either identified using a database located within the wireless communications system or the calling party name is received as part of the initial call setup signal. Then, the calling party name is sent to the mobile station over the air interface in response to identifying the calling party name.
