  • Patent number: 9550255
Abstract: A method for depositing material layers on a workpiece made of a material which contains a titanium aluminide includes the steps of: preparing the workpiece; heating the workpiece in a localized region by induction to a predefined preheating temperature; and depositing an additive, preferably in powder form, on the heated surface of the workpiece by build-up welding, in particular laser build-up welding, plasma build-up welding, micro-plasma build-up welding, TIG build-up welding or micro-TIG build-up welding; the additive including a titanium aluminide.

  • Patent number: 9452490
Abstract: A method for connecting different types of metallic joining partners using a radiation source, the two joining partners, having a different melting temperature, at least indirectly making contact lying against each other in the region of a joining zone, and the radiation source introducing its radiation energy into the one joining partner in a region next to the joining zone. It is provided that, because of the radiation source in the joining zone only the joining partner having a lower melting temperature is melted.

  • Publication number: 20150171492
Abstract: A battery assembly, including multiple battery cells, which are electrically connected to one another and each of which includes a prismatic cell housing. Each cell housing has at least one fastening protrusion on a cell bottom, this fastening protrusion, protruding through an opening of a cooling element, which is configured as a cooling plate or as a cooling housing for the cell housings, the fastening protrusion cooperating with a clamping element, which clamps the cell housing against the cooling element.

  • Publication number: 20150099152
Abstract: A method for connecting poles of two battery cells includes using a connecting element, which is configured as a stranded wire and connects the poles of the battery cells to one another. The stranded wire is connected directly to a pole of a battery cell in a welding area with a laser beam for forming a laser beam weld.

  • Publication number: 20150044387
Abstract: The present invention relates to a powder-coating apparatus for coating objects, comprising an application device which is designed to apply powder coating to regions of the object that are to be coated; and comprising an irradiation device which has at least one electromagnetic radiation source, which is designed to direct electromagnetic radiation onto areas of the object that are to be coated with powder coating and which is designed to thus cross-link the powder coating onto the coated regions. The present invention further relates to a powder-coating method for coating objects by means of a powder-coating apparatus according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20140303642
Abstract: An electronic control device assists in the insertion of an implant into the body of a patient, and allows the implant to be arbitrarily altered in shape by applying control signals. Patient-specific geometric body data from a body region into which the implant is to be introduced is input and stored. Computer-aided simulation of the insertion operation uses the patient-specific body data as a basis for simulating the insertion operation to produce actuation data which control the arbitrary alteration in the shape of the implant. The control device outputs the actuation data to the implant in the form of control signals on the basis of a sensed or calculated current introduction position of the implant according to the prior simulation.
