  • Patent number: 5357720
Abstract: A reglet and flashing assembly for preventing water from penetrating between a roofing membrane at its exposed edge and a skylight curb on which the membrane is provided. The assembly includes a reglet which is permanently anchored to or integrally formed as part of, the skylight sill. The reglet serves as an anchor for a flashing which has an upper edge removably attached to the reglet. The flashing overhangs the roofing membrane and a lower edge of the flashing is biased against the membrane to act as a protective shield to prevent water from entering between the roofing membrane and the skylight curb. The present invention further includes a flexible gasket fitting into the joint between the reglet and the flashing to secure the flashing in proper position. The gasket may be removed to thereby free the flashing.

  • Patent number: 4761927
Abstract: A panelized enclosure system 20 includes first and second panel structures 30,32 comprised of rafters 22,24 and panels 26, 28. The rafters 22,24 include exterior sides 34, 36 and interior sides 38, 40 joined together with peripheral sides 42, 44. The peripheral sides 42, 44 of two adjacent rafters 22, 24 define a reverse camber. The system 20 includes an interconnection 60 for interconnecting the panel structures 30, 32 and a seal 61 for sealing the panel structures 30, 32 together. The system 20 can be used to enclose an environment and isolate it from an ambient environment. The enclosed isolated environment can be at a pressure which is higher than that of the ambient environment. Accordingly, the panel structures 30, 32 are urged outwardly. As this occurs, the peripheral sides 42, 44 are pivotally urged together.

  • Patent number: 4761919
Abstract: A multiple skylight guttering system 20 includes a plurality of first channels 22 and a plurality of deeper second channels 24. The first channels 22 are received in appropriate apertures 42 of the second channels 24 with a securing mechanism 56 and a sealing mechanism 44 which does not require welding. The channels 22, 24 are received in apertures 86, 87 of a perimeter sill 32 using the same fastening mechanism 56 and sealing mechanism 44. The channels 22, 24 are mounted so that the channels can be sloped to afford appropriate drainage.

  • Patent number: 4601143
Abstract: A fire rated wall/door system 10 comprises a transparent panel 12 which is supported by a frame means 23 for protecting the peripheral edge 40 of the panel 12 from delamination. Further, mounting means 32 mount the frame 23 in a wall 30 so as to accommodate expansion of the panel 12 and frame 23 to prevent panel bowing with resultant delamination of panel 12 and premature failure.

  • Patent number: 4539783
Abstract: A skylight system 10 is provided which has sills 22 which can be secured to the appropriate structure 20 and sill caps 74, 76 which can be snapped into engagement with the sills 22. The support rafters 60, 62 can be snapped into engagement with the sills to support panels 12, 14, 16 which are disposed thereupon. A strap 140 with a cooperating mechanism 141 is disposed above the panels 12, 14, 16 and can be urged into selective engagement with the sill cap 74, 76 so as to hold the panels 12, 14, 16 in place upon the support rafters 60, 62.
