Abstract: A method of removing thrombus accumulation from a space between a body valve and a wall of a body vessel is described herein. The method can include an occlusion catheter with a first occlusion member positioned on the second side of the vessel. An aspiration catheter is introduced through the vessel and the valve. The aspiration catheter can have a nozzle with a bent configuration to position the end opening proximate to the thrombus accumulation.

Abstract: A packaging system for medical devices includes a elongate connector having a plurality of channels formed therein, and a first and a second tubular holder configured to form an assembly with an elongate, coiled medical device. The first and second tubular holders each have shapes congruous with the plurality of channels, and are positionable therein such that the elongate connector forms a bridge attaching the tubular holders in an assembly with a medical device.

The universal catheter tray assembly is configured for packaging a catheter with a size corresponding to the size indicia and with any one of a plurality of tip shapes such that first and second segments of the catheter are confined in first and second catheter capture channels, respectively.

A perimeter sealed region can have a seal width greater than an intermediate sealed region. A longitudinal intermediate sealed region and a transverse intermediate sealed region can be arranged within the perimeter sealed region. Formation of the perimeter sealed region along first and second ends of the package can be subsequent to the perimeter sealed region along third and fourth ends of the package. Before the formation, compartments having an opening facing the first end can receive medical implements, and compartments having an opening facing the second end can receive medical implements. The medical implements can remain uncovered by individual pouches when inserted into the respective compartments, thereby reducing manufacturing costs and environmental wastes.

Abstract: A thrombectomy system to remove thrombus accumulation from a space between a body valve and a wall of a body vessel is described herein. The system can have a thrombectomy catheter having a lumen therein. The thrombectomy catheter can include a first occlusion member disposed circumferentially around a distal end thereof. An occlusion catheter can be disposed within the lumen of the thrombectomy catheter and can have a second occlusion member disposed at a distal end thereof. The first and second occlusion members can be expanded to occlude the body vessel to isolate a region thereof. An aspiration catheter can be disposed within the lumen of the thrombectomy catheter and can have an articulable nozzle at a distal end thereof. The articulable nozzle can be extended beyond a distal end opening of the thrombectomy catheter to aspirate a thrombus accumulation from within the isolated region of the body vessel.
