  • Publication number: 20040134240
Abstract: Disclosed are a lift unit for a drum-type washing machine, and a drum-type washing machine comprising the lift unit. The lift unit is protruded from an inner wall of a drum for lifting the laundry in the drum, and comprises a water storage unit formed at at least one side surface of the lift unit for lifting and dropping the wash water when the drum is rotated. The lift unit lifts the wash water to a designated height and then drops the wash water according to the rotation of the drum, thereby circulating the wash water in circumferential and vertical directions of the drum, forming various water currents, and improving washing and rinsing efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20040118168
Abstract: A lift of a drum-type washing machine is constructed as a tandem-structure lift, which includes outer and inner lift parts. The outer lift is axially installed on an inner circumferential surface of a rotating drum provided with a multitude of water penetration holes, and the inner lift part is provided with an open bottom and perforations throughout its surfaces and is slidingly installed within the outer lift part. The outer lift part has an open top and an open bottom, with the open bottom facing at least a portion of the water penetration holes. Three such lifts, spaced equidistantly around the drum, are typically provided in a drum-type washing machine. As the drum rotates, the inner lift parts protrude, one by one, through the open top of the corresponding outer lift part, causing laundry to fall a greater distance and allowing washing water to spray through the perforations onto the laundry.

  • Patent number: 6751785
Abstract: Systems and methods for limiting capacitance increase due to dummy fill metals utilized to improve planar profile uniformity are disclosed. A computer-automated method for locating dummy fills in an integrated circuit fabrication process generally comprises reading a layout file specifying layout of the integrated circuit, designating at least one net of the integrated circuit as a critical net, the critical nets being only a subset of all nets of the integrated circuit, identifying metal conductors corresponding to each designated critical net from the layout file, delineating a net blocking exclusion zone extending a distance of a minimum net blocking distance (NBD) from the metal conductor for each metal conductor identified, and locating the dummy fills outside of the net blocking exclusion zone.

  • Patent number: 6018623
Abstract: A method and system of determining circuit performance-related characteristics, particularly delay and crosstalk, of interconnects includes defining a number of process variables which exhibit Gaussian distributions with respect to geometrical variances. A table of statistically based worst-case values representative of capacitances and resistances associated with different selections of the process variables is generated. In the preferred embodiment, the statistically based worst-case values are 3-sigma values. Also generated is a table of capacitance derivatives with respect to interconnect geometries. When a particular interconnect layout having selected process parameters is designated, the tables of 3-sigma values and derivatives are accessed to generate a resistance-capacitance (RC) net representative of the interconnect layout. The resistance and capacitance are correlated for each RC net and are partially determined by a randomized selection of values for geometries of the interconnect layout.

  • Patent number: 5923568
Abstract: A method of estimating the distributed capacitance of an interconnection line within an integrated circuit. The invention includes a method for estimating distributed capacitance between interconnection lines within an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit is modeled as including a middle plane which is planar and adjacent to a top plane and a bottom plane. Each plane includes a plurality of interconnection lines which are infinite in length and parallel. The interconnection lines of the middle plane are orthogonal to the interconnection lines of the top plane and the interconnection lines of the bottom plane. A ground plane is adjacent and planar to the bottom plane. A first value of capacitance between an interconnection line of the middle plane and an interconnection line of the top plane is estimated ignoring the effects of the bottom plane.
