  • Patent number: 5090220
Abstract: A washing tub and an outer tub are inclined together by a tub posture tilting mechanism. The tub posture tilting mechanism is constituted of a link mechanism structure. One of the tub posture tilting mechanism comprises mainly a pair of beams mounted integrally on the outer tub, a pair of bases mounted turnable on the beams, a crank mounted turnable on a rear base and an arm mounted turnable on the crank and mounted on a motor. The motor is mounted integrally on the rear base and drives the tub posture tilting mechanism. Another of the tub posture tilting mechanism comprises mainly a pair bases mounted turnable on the outer tub, a crank mounted turnable on a rear base and an arm mounted turnable on the crank and mounted turnable on a motor. The motor is mounted integrally on the outer tub and drives the tub posture tilting mechanism. A delicate washing clothes is washed softly in a triangular washing region at a uniform inclined state of the washing tub.

  • Patent number: 4998861
Abstract: A drainage pump includes a pump casing having an inlet and an outlet, and an impeller accommodated in the casing and rotated by a driving motor. The impeller has a plate-like vane. A liquid flows from the inlet toward a front end portion of the vane along the axis of the vane, and is discharged from the outlet in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of the vane. The front end portion of the vane has a convex shape, and therefore has an inclined portion which extends from a portion located on the axis of the vane to an outer peripheral edge thereof.

  • Patent number: 4920661
Abstract: A washing/dehydrating machine performing a centrifugal dehydration by rotating a washing/dehydrating tub having a plurality of discharging ports in high speed comprises a plurality of protrusions protruded toward inwardly formed on an inner surface of the washing/dehydrating tub. A total volume of the protrusions is determined in a range of 3% to 6% of capacity of the washing/dehydrating tub. A water saturated region in the wash is reduced by an amount of volume corresponding to the total volume of the protrusions.

  • Patent number: 4860990
Abstract: A volute chamber having an inflow port is provided at the inlet of an extraction hole of a diaphragm valve. The volute chamber is formed with a lid in a hollow portion of a synthetic resin material member of the diaphragm member. The volute chamber is formed with a cap as volute chamber forming piece at the lower portion of the synthetic resin material member. A small projection is formed at the inlet of the extraction hole and protrudes in the volute chamber. A rib having an inflow port is formed partially at the outer surface of the cap. The spinning speed of the water in the volute chamber and the fluid circulation resistance in the volute chamber become large. The water supply to a back pressure chamber reduces and the closing speed of the diaphragm valve decreases. The water hammering action in the water inlet valve can be mitigated due to the rapid closing operation of the diaphragm valve.

  • Patent number: 4791691
Abstract: A clothes washing machine and method wherein a washing liquid is ejected and circulated through a suction pump in a connecting hose from an outer tub, with the recirculated washing liquid being sprinkled all over the clothes through a sprinkling port. An amount of washing liquid to be supplied into the washing tub is set to be about three to eight times larger than that of the clothes to be washed in a weight ratio and washing is performed by carrying out a sprinkling or spraying of the washing liquid on the clothes. By setting an amount of washing liquid supplied to the washing tub to be as small as three to eight times the amount of clothes to be washed in a weight ratio, the clothes are prevented from floating upon the washing liquid and, accordingly, it is possible to promote a friction, expansion, and contraction action of the clothes and to increase a direct frictional effect caused by an agitator of the washing machine.

  • Patent number: 4771615
Abstract: A dehydrating vessel of a washing machine includes a wall formed of non-water absorbing material, and a water absorbing porous material layer attached to an inner periphery of the wall. The water absorbing porous material layer exhibits a capillary action. A plurality of water releasing apertures are formed at the wall and the water absorbing porous material layer. The rate of dehydration achieved in a zone of the dehydrating vessel near the wall of the vessel can be improved, so that the rate of dehydration can be rendered substantially uniform from the wall to the central portion of the vessel without nonuniformity.
