Abstract: The present invention provides retrovirus-specific oligonucleotides and a method for measuring retroviral titer using same as primers in polymerase chain reaction (PCR). As the inventive method makes it possible to rapidly quantify measure retroviral DNA inserted into the genome of a target cell or the presence of retroviral RNA in a solution, it can be effectively used in the measurement of retroviral vector for gene therapy, the detection of replication competent retrovirus (RCR) in the sera of a subject receiving gene therapy, or the diagnosis of wild-type retrovirus.
