  • Publication number: 20030042192
Abstract: Disclosed is a manifold for a replaceable fluid filter cartridge. The manifold possesses inlet and outlet conduits and a housing. A first valve assembly is provided in the inlet passage. A solenoid of the first valve assembly can be operated under the control of a controller when coupling and decoupling the filter cartridge to and from the manifold. The housing is defined with a flow bore through which water filtered in the filter cartridge can flow and a reservoir in which the filtered water is stored after flowing through the flow bore. One end of the outlet conduit is provided with a chamber. A second valve assembly is provided in the chamber. The second valve assembly includes an electromagnetic valve, and a sealing block is disposed in the chamber. The sealing block is defined with a flow path. A flow path switchover member functions to divert fluid flow through the outlet conduit into a first or second outlet conduit part.

Abstract: Disclosed is a manifold for a replaceable fluid filter cartridge. The manifold possesses inlet and outlet passages and a housing. A first valve assembly is provided in the inlet passage. The housing is provided with first and second fitting mechanisms which have second and third valve assemblies. Fitting portions of the first and second fitting mechanisms are fitted into outer and inner flanges of the filter cartridge. Upon coupling the filter cartridge to the manifold, a valve stem of the second valve assembly is positioned on an upper end surface of the inner flange, and thereby a flow channel is defined. Thus, fluid flows through the inlet passage into the filter cartridge. Upon decoupling the filter cartridge from the manifold, the valve stem of the second valve assembly is separated from the upper end surface of the inner flange to shut off fluid flow from the inlet passage into the filter cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20030038077
Abstract: Disclosed is a manifold for supplying fluid to a filter cartridge and discharging treated fluid to a desired place. The manifold possesses inlet and outlet conduits and a housing. A first valve assembly is provided in the inlet conduit to control fluid flow upon changing the filter cartridge and has a stem valve. When the filter cartridge is coupled to the manifold, as the stem valve comes into contact with one flange and pressed thereby, fluid can flow through the inlet conduit into the filter cartridge. The housing is defined with a flow bore through which filtered water can flow and a reservoir in which the filtered water flowing through the flow bore is stored. Each outlet conduit is provided with a port, and a second valve assembly is provided to the port. A pipe jointing assembly is provided to the port to allow pipes to be easily jointed and disjointed. Flow control means is provided in the reservoir of the housing and includes a flow control unit.

  • Publication number: 20020105745
Abstract: In digital signal recording apparatus using I-NRZI modulation for recording, the need for intermittently reading or intermittently writing buffer storage is eliminated by using parallel-bit preceding to generate the channel words that are selected between for recording. The precoders perform preceding on an accelerated basis using ripple-through integration of the alternate successive bits used to form each channel word. Two precoders generate (n+1)-parallel-bit channel words at a channel word rate slower by a factor of (n+1) than the rate of a system clock for the I-NRZI modulation. This leaves additional time during each channel word interval to carry out a decision procedure, which determines which of the channel words generated by the two precoders is to be selected for recording.

  • Patent number: 5852529
Abstract: A digital signal recorder affixes m bits as a prefix to an input information word of n bits to be encoded into a channel word of n+m bits in parallel. The channel word is divided by a common divisor of the period of the channel word of n+m bits and the period of a pilot signal track pattern useful for read head tracking during playback of the recorded data, to form a series of channel word segments. Spectrum data for all possible values or bit patterns of the divided channel word segments, relative to the track patterns, are stored in look-up tables. The channel word having the frequency characteristic of the desired track pattern is selected by accessing the look-up table using the divided channel word (channel word segment) to provide address bits, so that the selected channel word can be processed, selected and recorded in real time.

  • Patent number: 5642241
Abstract: A lone precoder of 2T type generates interleaved non-return to-zero, invert-on-ONEs (I-NRZI) modulation for digital signal recording apparatus used for recording in parallel tracks on a record medium, the interleaved codes providing for the inclusion of pilot signals in selected sets of recording tracks. A first set of NRZI codes is generated directly by the precoder, and a second set of NRZI codes is generated by bit-complementing odd bit places of the first set of NRZI codes. Preferably the lone 2T precoder is one that performs its coding of each information word on a parallel-bit basis, to implement pipeline processing of the generation of I-NRZI modulation, and to avoid the need for intermittently written or intermittently read buffer storage. The digital signal recording apparatus is suited for the recording of television signals, with pilot signals being included on the tracks when sync and run-up data are recorded, as well as when video and audio data are recorded.

  • Patent number: 5481370
Abstract: An audio signal discrimination apparatus for use in a recording and reproducing apparatus, in which an identification code is inserted into a video signal and a mode of audio signal is discriminated. The audio signal discrimination apparatus includes a sync separator for separating a horizontal sync signal and a vertical sync signal from the video signal, an identification code insertion circuit for receiving the separated horizontal and vertical sync signals so as to insert an identification code for discriminating a processing mode of the audio signal into a predetermined region of the video signal when recording, and an identification code detection circuit for detecting the identification code inserted into the predetermined region of the video signal so as to determine the processing mode of the audio signal.

  • Patent number: 5002083
Abstract: A tent cover retaining device is disclosed for tents having an exterior frame supporting a tent fabric. A hook extends integrally from each frame member, adjacent to a folding joint, and a rubber string secured to the tent cover is connected to the hook. This prevents the tent cover from slipping down when the frame members adjacent to the joint are folded with the joint upward. The tent cover of the folded tent is stabilized in position and is not permitted to slide loosely on the tubular tent frame component. This is particularly important when the tent is re-erected and the frame is unfolded.

  • Patent number: 4750509
Abstract: A tent and folding tent framework which enable quick and easy setup and taking down of the tent include a central hub member about which six ribs are pivotable. The hub member or fixed disk is made of plastic material and includes openings which enable the ribs to be easily assembled into the hub. Each rib includes two joints which pivot through 180 degrees. The joints are biased by springs toward the open position and include locking sleeves which are biased toward the locking position. The six ribs are loosely attached to the tent fabric via fabric loops, so that the entire framework is on the outside of the tent. A single user can easily open and set up the tent, or take down and store the tent, without assembling components and assistance.
