  • Publication number: 20260171620
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for electrodes having multiple current paths. In one example approach, a battery is provided that comprises: a first electrode layer comprising a first positive tab and a first negative tab; and a second electrode layer comprising a second positive tab and a second negative tab, where the second electrode layer is stacked on top of the first electrode layer, where the second positive tab is misaligned with the first positive tab and the second negative tab is misaligned with the first negative tab.

  • Publication number: 20260142296
Abstract: A battery fabrication system and method include stacking a plurality of unit battery cells, which each have an electrolyte, to provide a cell stack having a plurality of edges, installing at least one edge guard to cover at least one edge of the plurality of edges, and enclosing the cell stack and the edge guard within a pouch. The pouch is then shrunk around the cell stack and the edge guard.

  • Publication number: 20250379260
Abstract: A solid-state battery includes a solid-state electrolyte, a first electrode layer disposed against a first major side of the electrolyte, and a gasket disposed against a second major side of the electrolyte. The gasket defines an opening. A second electrode layer is disposed within the opening such that the gasket completely circumscribes the second electrode. The second electrode is disposed against the second major side of the electrolyte.
