Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs that comprise instructions. The instructions are executed by an intermediary processing device that is in communication with an artificial-reality headset. The executed instructions cause the intermediary processing device, while the intermediary processing device is operating in a default state to process data for the artificial-reality headset and in accordance with a determination that an operational condition at the artificial-reality headset satisfies thermal-throttling criteria, to operate the intermediary processing device in a throttled state. The throttled state is distinct from the default state. The throttled state causes the intermediary processing device to reduce at least one performance characteristic associated with the default state.

Abstract: A system, a headset, or a method for determining a value of a food consumption parameter. The system includes a headset worn on a head of a user and a wearable device worn on a wrist or a hand of the user. The headset and the wearable device are communicatively coupled to each other via an ultrawideband communication channel. The system tracks the hand of the user relative to the head of the user based on the ultrawideband communication channel between the headset and the wearable device. The system also monitors movement of a jaw of the user using a contact microphone coupled to the headset, and determines a value of a food consumption parameter based in part on the tracked movement of the hand and the monitored movement of the jaw.
