  • Patent number: 7220333
Abstract: A method of applying pieces of material to objects includes providing a material supply strip and an applicator device capable of applying material from the supply strip to objects. The supply strip includes a backing having first and second opposing surfaces and pieces of material removably arranged on both of the first and second surfaces. The method also includes applying at least one piece of material from the first surfaces of the backing to at least one object with said at least one applicator device, and applying at least one piece of material from the second surface of the backing to at least one object with said at least one applicator device.

  • Patent number: 6672314
Abstract: An applicator for applying a product to at least one of hair and a scalp is provided. The applicator may comprise a body configured to be associated with a reservoir, a base and at least two application teeth extending from the base. Each of the application teeth may comprise a free end including a dispensing orifice and a conveying duct. The teeth may have a first end at the dispensing orifice and a second end intended to be placed in flow communication with the reservoir. An elastically deformable coupling may be provided between the base and the body, the elastically deformable coupling may be configured to allow relative movement of the base with respect to the body in response to at least one of axial force applied to at least one of the teeth, and lateral force applied to at least one of the teeth. The applicator may be used to apply a product the hair or scalp. This applicator may be used to apply hair dye, for example.

  • Publication number: 20020113116
Abstract: A box comprising a body formed from a blank, wherein the blank comprises a support having a first surface and a second surface and at least the first surface has printing thereon. The blank further comprises at least one sheet of non-woven material, the at least one sheet of non-woven material being arranged on the first surface of the support. The at least one sheet of non-woven material may be at least partially transparent so that the printing on the first surface of the support is visible through the sheet of non-woven material.

  • Publication number: 20010054564
Abstract: An object formed from a molded support may comprise a material that may be metallically coated by electrodeposition. At least a part of the support's surface may be covered with a first metallic coating formed of at least n superposed layers of metal, where n≧2. The first metallic coating may at least partially delimit a decorative pattern. A second metallic coating formed of at most n−1 metal layers may cover the surface of the support in a region corresponding to the decorative pattern. An outer metallic layer of the first metallic coating may have at least one of a color and an appearance that differs from a color and an appearance of a metallic outer layer of the second metallic coating.

  • Publication number: 20010055729
Abstract: A method for producing at least one decorative pattern on an item includes providing a support having at least one surface and treating a first portion of the surface of the support. The treatment renders the first portion of the surface resistant to metallic coating by at least one type of metallic coating procedure. In addition, the method includes coating a second portion of the surface of the support with a metallic coating such that the metallic coating delimits a decorative pattern. The first portion of the surface corresponds to the decorative pattern.
