Abstract: A method and system are provided for receiving communications requests over an electronic network and using a dispatch server to direct the communications requests to a media server that establishes a conference and processes communications thereof. Dispatch servers may select a media server from a plurality of media servers by consulting available capacity data for the media servers.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for facilitating a first conference between a plurality of clients on a network. A request to join a first conference is received from a first one of the plurality of clients via the network. In response to the request, it is determined whether the first conference is currently being facilitated on any of a plurality of media servers. Where the first conference is currently being facilitated on a first one of the plurality of media servers, the first client is dispatched to the first conference on the first media server. Where the first conference is not currently being facilitated on any of the plurality of media servers, creation of the first conference on a second one of the plurality of media servers is triggered, and the first client is dispatched to the first conference on the second media server.

Abstract: This invention concerns new molecules with active, non-linear optical properties and which can be thermally reticulated (more precisely, these molecules include terminal functions which can be reticulated, attached to either side of the groups active in non-linear optics, which can be oriented under an electrical field). When reticulated and oriented under an electrical field, these materials are particularly stable and can be employed for industrial applications, using non-linear optics (electrooptical modulators, frequency doublers, etc.).

Abstract: The invention concerns a reticulable polymer for use in non-linear optics, the polymer being constituted of a skeleton to which side chains are attached; one chain ensures the amorphous nature of the polymer, the skeleton consisting of polyacrylic, polystyrene or polysiloxane, and a second side chain able to generate non-linear optical effects and terminating in a heat or photochemically reticulable group.
