  • Patent number: 6582196
Abstract: A windmill rotor of the front-runner type and airfoil type wind blades therefor in which the blade tips have a longitudinally forwardly curved configuration. The curvature solves the problem of inward flexure of the blade in strong wind conditions, without requiring modification of the manner in which the rotor as a whole is mounted in order to avoid having the blade strike the windmill tower under such strong wind conditions.

  • Patent number: 6532895
Abstract: The invention concerns a feed pan for poultry, especially chickens and hens, for use in connection with a tube feeding system. The feed pan comprises a feed cone (1) under which a bottom pan (10) is mounted, and the feed cone (1) has mounting elements for mounting on a feed tube (20), so that feed from an outlet hole (21) in the feed tube (20) can pass through the feed cone (1) and down into the bottom pan (10). The mounting elements for the feed cone are configured so that the feed cone (1) and the feed tube (20) can be turned in relation to each other around the axis of the feed tube. The mounting elements comprise adjustable means which can co-operate with driving elements (6, 7) on the feed cone (1), so that the feed cone can also be turned together with the feed tube (20), which among other things is used in connection with the dosing of feeds and cleaning of feed pans.

  • Publication number: 20020090487
Abstract: A mat (10) comprises a pile surface fabric (40) and a rubber or rubber-like backing layer (20). The pile surface fabric (40) is connected to and extends to the edges of the backing layer (20). The pile surface fabric (40) is provided with a border portion (22) having on its upper surface (26) a contrasting color and/or texture to the remainder (24) of the pile surface fabric and extending along at least a portion of the edge of said pile surface fabric. The mat (10) can be formed in a single cutting operation by cutting the mat from a roll of mat material (30) comprising a pile surface fabric having elongate areas (32, 34) of contrasting surface color and/or texture bonded to a rubber backing layer. The cuts (36, 38) are made along the elongate areas (32, 34). Since the border (22) is formed in the pile, colours and shapes can be selected to suit customer requirements, while the mat (10) serves to clean footwear over its entire area.
