    Abstract: A Breath Actuated Inhaler (10) comprising a canister (14) with a medication dispensed when compressing the canister (14). Compression of the canister (14) is prevented by a mechanism only allowing compression when an air flow is sufficient to ensure dispensing of the medication in the lungs/throat of the person. No latch or blocking mechanism is provided so that any force exerted by the person is, at all times, directed to the canister or preventing mechanism so that when no force is exerted by the user, no force is exerted in the inhaler (10). Prolonged exertion of such force could otherwise cause dimension changes and subsequent uncertainty of the dose size.

A plurality of inhalers may be provided in which each given inhaler has an opening with a different shape and has a closure element with a shape which conforms with the opening of the given inhaler but which does not conform with the openings of the other inhalers.
