In an embodiment, a method performed by an electronic device comprises: playing, or initiating the playing of, a sound through a loudspeaker of an accessory device via a communication link. The sound is played at a specified frequency that utilizes a frequency response of the loudspeaker (or loudspeaker plus speaker enclosure). The sound is received through two or more microphones of the electronic device and filtered by one or more filters. The one or more filters are configured to pass the sound at or around the specified frequency and to reduce masking of the sound by ambient noise. The filtered sound is associated with direction data generated from sensor data provided by one or more inertial sensors of the electronic device. • Patent number: 12352811
Abstract: A block of circuitry contains at least one sub-block. Test patterns for the sub-block (sub-level test patterns) include sub-level test stimuli and corresponding sub-level test responses. These are ported to the block-level to produce block-level test patterns, block-level test stimuli, and block-level test responses. The block-level test patterns are validated as follows. Propagation of the block-level test stimuli through the block-level design is computed. The signals produced by such computed propagation at the sub-block inputs are compared against the sub-level test stimuli, and the signals produced by such computed propagation at the block outputs are compared against the block-level test responses.

  • Patent number: 12330310
Abstract: Collision detection useful in motion planning for robotics advantageously employs data structure representations of robots, persistent obstacles and transient obstacles in an environment in which a robot will operate. Data structures may take the form of hierarchical data structures ((e.g., octrees, sets of volumes or boxes (e.g., a tree of axis-aligned bounding boxes (AABBs), a tree of oriented (not axis-aligned) bounding boxes, or a tree of spheres)) or non-hierarchical data structures (e.g., Euclidean Distance Fields) Such can result in computational efficiency, reduce memory requirements, and lower power consumption. The collision detection can take the form as a standalone function, providing a Boolean result that can be employed in executing any of a variety of different motion planning algorithms.

  • Patent number: 12290081
Abstract: A product conveying and coating system includes multiple, sequentially arranged conveyor units, with at least one conveyor unit being an open belt type. A carrier sheet is placed on a first of the conveyor units, a web of coating material in liquid form is deposited on the carrier sheet and spaced ropes of soft and sticky material are deposited on and settle into the web. The carrier sheet, web and ropes are transferred to a second conveyor unit after the coating material of the web solidifies, whereupon the ropes are cut into bar-length pieces. Thereafter, the carrier sheet is removed while the web and pieces are transferred to the open belt conveyor unit and exposed to an enrober. The enrober coats the pieces while melting portions of the web between the pieces in order to form full coated or encapsulated food products with soft and sticky cores.
