A mobile terminal according to the present disclosure may include a main body, a first sensor disposed on the main body and configured to sense a temperature of an object located in the vicinity of the main body, a second sensor disposed on the main body and configured to acquire an image of the object, the second sensor having either one of an active state and an inactive state in a locked state, and a controller configured to operate the first sensor in an active mode to sense the temperature of the object in the locked state in which the second sensor is operated in an inactive state.
