  • Patent number: 8223199
Abstract: In a finger vein authentication unit and an information processing unit using the same, in order to realize a reduction in size and maintain high accuracy such that the finger vein authentication unit is applied to a small-sized information processing unit such as a mobile telephone, the finger vein authentication unit includes a light source which irradiates infrared light to a finger, an imaging sensor which images a vein image by the light which is diffused in the finger and transmitted through the front side of the finger, and an image processing unit which processes the image. The light source is mounted on the front side of the finger and emits the light toward the side surfaces of the finger. Further, a wall is disposed on either side of the finger vein authentication unit for supporting the finger and guiding the irradiated infrared light.

  • Publication number: 20050225268
Abstract: Sensitivity of a velocity modulation device is increased and noise such as a leakage magnetic field and a leakage electric field from the device are reduced to thereby lower power consumed by the device. A cathode ray tube device and a television set each include a velocity modulation device on a cathode side of a deflection yoke. All or part of the circumference of a velocity modulation coil to modulate scan beam velocity is covered with material having an initial permeability of at least 10 at 2 MHz.

  • Patent number: 6492783
Abstract: Horizontal line misconvergences produced at screen upper and lower portions, among rasters displayed by side electron beams are corrected without producing degradation in vertical deflection sensitivity so much and changing horizontal trapezoidal distortion. In a deflection yoke provided with a top-and-bottom pair of saddle-type horizontal deflection coils and a right-and-left pair of saddle-type deflection coils and mounted to and used in a color cathode ray tube having an in-line arranged electron gun, a pair of sub-cores is provided from side to side or above and below on the electron gun side of the deflection yoke. At least one pair of correction coils is wound around each of the pair of sub-cores.

  • Patent number: 6373202
Abstract: In a color cathode ray tube having a flat panel exterior surface, the screen distortion and the convergence give rise to problems. To overcome these problems, by arranging bar magnets in such a manner that they are disposed parallel to a screen and are shifted from upper and lower ends of a horizontal deflection coil of a deflection yoke by not less than 10 mm in the direction perpendicular to a tube axis, the distortion of the screen and the characteristics of the convergence can be simultaneously improved.

  • Patent number: 5281938
Abstract: A deflection system for a cathode-ray tube including a horizontal deflection core, a magnetic coil, and a vertical deflection coil toroidally wound on the magnetic core. The vertical deflection coil has a plurality of superimposed winding layers arranged with respect to a vertical axis of the deflection system with at least one of the layers of the vertical deflection coil being disposed asymmetrically with respect to the vertical axis or disposed symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis and having winding portions delimiting at least one gap along an extent thereof at a position other than the vertical axis. In this manner, an induced voltage in the at least one of the layers is substantially equal to an induced voltage in each of another of the layers at least in the region of the vertical axis, whereby ringing is substantially prevented.
