  • Patent number: 8903642
Abstract: A vehicle (12) starts from the front of a home (11a) and moves to a destination (11b). An area (area—1) with the home (11a) at the center is an area where the position of the home (11a) is estimated to be easily specified, and a road (13a) to be searched is a road required for searching a moving route of the vehicle (12). An in-vehicle device (200) does not transmit position information or the like acquired in the area (area—1) in response to a request of position information from a road side device (100). The in-vehicle device (200) transmits the position information or the like on the vehicle (12) acquired after the vehicle (12) moves out of the area (area—1) to the road side device (100). The position information on the vehicle is transmitted to the road side device by protecting personal information.

  • Patent number: 8571792
Abstract: Provided is a navigation device which can automatically display on a map screen, an icon of a facility, information of which is not held in the navigation device. According to the navigation device (2), when it is judged that content information received from a roadside radio device (1) contains “object facility coordinate information” and “icon image information”, these information are written into a facility information table (252). When displaying a map screen and an existing facility icon on a display unit (22), it is judged whether the facility information table (252) contains facility icon information having coordinate information contained within a range indicated by the map screen. If YES, the corresponding facility icon is overlay-displayed on the map screen and the existing facility icon.

  • Patent number: 8265987
Abstract: A road-vehicle communication system warns or gives caution to a vehicle traveling in a reverse way direction and may also give warning to vehicles traveling in a correct direction. The road-vehicle communication system includes a first roadside apparatus at an entrance gate that gives entry gate pass information indicating that a vehicle passing a communicative area has entered a toll road. A second roadside apparatus at an exit ramp acquires any given entry gate pass information from a passing vehicle. An administration device judges whether or not the entry gate pass information is acquired from the passing vehicle. If the entry gate pass information is not acquired, the second roadside apparatus provides the vehicle with reverse-way driving warning information for warning the vehicle that the vehicle is traveling in the reverse direction.

  • Patent number: 8165748
Abstract: An on-vehicle device (200) includes a self-position detection unit (254), a position match judgment unit (255), an advance direction detection unit (256), and a direction match judgment unit (257). At the moment when a mobile body such as a vehicle having the on-vehicle device passes through an intended point of a data distribution side in an intended direction, a data reproduction unit (253) starts reproduction of content data associated with creation of the data distribution side acquired by a data acquisition unit (251). When there a plurality of content data intended to be simultaneously reproduced by the data distribution side, it is judged by a parallel reproduction judgment unit (252), and the data reproduction unit (253) reproduces the content data in parallel. The data is reproduced according to the intention of the data distribution side.

  • Publication number: 20110010228
Abstract: A first roadside apparatus for giving entry gate pass information indicating that a vehicle passing a communicative area has entered a toll road is provided at an entrance ramp of the toll road. A second roadside apparatus for acquiring the given entry gate pass information is provided at an exit ramp of the toll road. The second roadside apparatus having a function as an administration device judges whether or not the entry gate pass information is acquired from the passing vehicle. If the entry gate pass information is not acquired, the second roadside apparatus provides the vehicle with reverse-way driving warning information for warning the vehicle that the vehicle is traveling in the reverse direction. Thus, if there is a vehicle which is fully expected to travel in the reverse direction on a one-way road such as a toll road, a road-vehicle communication system for warning or giving caution to the vehicle traveling in the reverse way and vehicles traveling along the correct lanes.

  • Publication number: 20100261428
Abstract: First and second roadside apparatuses for short-range communication with a vehicle-mounted device mounted in a vehicle are disposed upstream and downstream of a one-way road. The first and second roadside apparatuses installed on the road acquire vehicle identification information for identifying the vehicle when the vehicle passes through the communicative areas thereof. A administration device capable of communicating with the first and second roadside apparatuses stores the vehicle identification information acquired by the first roadside apparatus in a storage unit. If the vehicle identification information acquired by the second roadside apparatus is not included in the vehicle identification information stored in the storage unit, the administration device provides the vehicle with a reverse-way driving warning information through the second roadside apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20080260177
Abstract: Even when digital media of the respective devices are not media of common codec, the digital media can be reproduced in other device. A digital medium is provided to a providing destination device which reproduces the digital medium upon receiving it. Before providing the digital medium, a codec which can be used in the providing destination device is reported to the providing source device (step 22). The provision of the digital medium is directly performed without performing conversion if the codec is a predetermined common codec. If the codec is not the common codec, it is converted into a medium format of the common codec. Alternatively, if the codec can be used by the providing destination device, the codec is directly used in the medium format (steps 23-26).
