Abstract: Apparatuses and methods concerning providing a data-communications virtual assistant are disclosed. As an example, one apparatus includes a data-communications server. The data-communications server is configured to process user-data-communications between a client station and another station participating in data-communications via the data-communications services where the client station is associated with one client entity. The server is also configured to identify a context for each respective user-data-communication between the client station and the participating station, where the context data corresponds to at least one communications-specific characteristic associated with the user-data-communications, and to retrieve structured and unstructured data relating to previous data-communications provided by the data-communications server.

Abstract: In one example, a computer-based system determines a relationship between a first job and a second job at one or more companies, by using a title data store, a training module, and a prediction module, wherein the title data store accepts job-related information characterizing at least one job-related position that includes at least one of title, corporate entity, job description, and job-related interest data. The training module accepts input data from the title data store, calculates or generates a set of coefficients and a set of job-related vectors from the input data, and stores the coefficients into a database. The prediction module may accept: a first set of data including at least one of a first title, a first corporate designation data, a second set of data including at least one of a second title and a second corporate designation data, and the coefficients from the training module; and then a similarity between the first set of data and the second set of data may be calculated.

Abstract: Directing a content player to a content source is disclosed. A message from a content management system including information associated with a client that is currently requesting content is received. Based at least in part on the information included in the message, a set of content sources is determined. Instructions indicating the set of content sources for the client are sent to the content management system.

Each of the prime segments is stored in one of the storage units, respectively. At least a first of the prime segments that has not been previously verified is verified, without verifying a second of the prime segments that has been previously verified. The first prime, when at least the first prime segment has been successfully verified, can be used to construct the consistent point of the file system.

Each of the prime segments listed in the prime dependency list is ascertained in an attempt to generate the consistent point of data.

The first prime segment can be utilized to restore the file system back to a state represented by the consistent point.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, in response to a request to write a prime segment of a file system of a storage system having a plurality of storage units, one or more of the storage units are identified based on a prime segment write-map (PSWM). The PSWM includes information indicating which of the storage units to which a next prime should be written. The prime segment is then written in the one or more storage units identified from the PSWM, without writing the prime segment to a remainder of the storage units. The prime segment represents at least a portion of a prime that contains metadata representing a consistent point of data stored in the file system.

Abstract: A method includes bidirectionally intercepting data associated with content delivery from a content server to a client device through an agent executing on a central computing platform and/or the client device. The agent is capable of handling both secure and non-secure communication protocols. The method also includes performing, on the data intercepted, an action on behalf of a user of the client device through the agent such that a requirement of intervention of both the content server and an interface associated with the user of the client device therefor is dispensed with.
