The multilayer coating includes a metal nitride functional layer sandwiched between two transparent dielectric layers. The thickness of the dielectric layer provided above the functional layer is greater than 60 nm and less than 150 nm and the thickness of the dielectric layer provided above the transparent substrate is greater than 10 nm and less than 45 nm. The coated solar control glass article exhibits gold/rose/purple colored reflection on the side opposite to the side provided with the multilayer coating.
