  • Patent number: 11001104
Abstract: A tire includes a carcass, side-reinforcing rubber, a belt layer, and a tread. The belt layer includes at least two layers and is provided at a tire radial direction outer side of the carcass, each layer including a cord inclined with respect to a tire circumferential direction such that the cords of the belt layers intersect each other. The tread is provided at the tire radial direction outer side of the belt layer. A tire cross-section height SH satisfies SH?145 mm, and a ground contact width TW of the tread and a maximum tire width direction width of the belt layer satisfies TW<B. Moreover, an angle ? formed between a tire outer face and the tire width direction at a position at 0.8SH toward the tire radial direction outer side of a bead base portion of either of the bead portions is no less than 60°.

  • Patent number: 9493037
Abstract: The present invention provides a pneumatic tire having a carcass as a skeleton extending in a toroidal shape over a pair of bead portions, a belt including at least one slant layer, and a tread, the belt and the tread being disposed on the outer side in the tire radial direction of a crown portion of the carcass in this order, characterized in that: a ratio BD/BW of radius difference BD between radius at the center portion and radius at an end portion in the tire widthwise direction of the outermost layer of the slant belt layer(s), to a width BW of the outermost layer, is in the range of 0.01 to 0.04 in a section of the tire in the widthwise direction in a state where the tire is assembled with an application rim. A pneumatic tire being excellent in wear resistance performance and having relatively low rolling resistance can be obtained accordingly.

  • Patent number: 9216614
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a rim for a pneumatic tire that can suppress local deformation of the sidewall portion of a mounted tire and thus suppress the occurrence of damage to the sidewall portion. The rim for a pneumatic tire according to the present invention is provided with a pair of bead seat portions separated from each other in a rim width direction and a flange portion extending outwards in a rim radial direction from a rim width direction outer end of each bead seat portion. A rim radial direction outer end of the flange portion is recurved outwards in the rim width direction. A radius of curvature of a surface of the flange portion at a rim width direction outer end portion of the flange portion is at least 0.4 times and at most 1.0 times a radius of curvature of the surface of the flange portion at a rim width direction central portion of the flange portion.

  • Patent number: 9027617
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire of which rolling resistance is reduced without impairing wear resistance. Specifically, the pneumatic tire of the present invention comprises: a tread portion; a pair of side wall portions; a pair of bead portions; a carcass constituted of at least one carcass ply extending in a toroidal shape between bead cores in the respective bead portions; a belt disposed on the outer peripheral side of a crown region of the carcass and formed by at least one inclined belt layer made of cords extending to be inclined with respect to the equatorial plane of the tire; and a tread rubber disposed on the radially outer side of the belt, wherein a ratio of BD/BW satisfies the following formula: (0.062×tire aspect ratio?0.01)<BD/BW<(0.062×tire aspect ratio+0.

  • Patent number: 8752601
Abstract: In a cross section in a tire width direction when a tire is mounted on a prescribed rim (7), a belt has a flat shape in the tire width direction, the height (SWh) of the position where the tire width is the maximum is more than half the cross-sectional height (SH) of the tire, and a path length (CSR1) of the carcass from an intersection (I1) to an intersection (I2), is longer than a path length (CSR2) of the carcass from the intersection (I1) to an intersection (I3).
