  • Publication number: 20260135618
Abstract: A LiFi system includes an access point and a dongle. The access point and dongle may have similar or the same components for communication of data between each other. The dongle may be miniaturized so that it fits within the palm of an adult human hand. The LiFi dongle includes a housing inside which there is a PCB that contains a photodiode, a laser, and other devices (e.g., for communication to move digitized data within and/or out of the dongle to an attached computing device). The PCB may include a number of holes to facilitate heat transfer. The LiFi dongle may include grooves and feet on the bottom to allow for air flow into the dongle, and a plurality of chambers within the dongle housing to provide for areas for heat transfer and protection from electromagnetic interference.

  • Publication number: 20250085399
Abstract: In an example, the present invention provides a system and method for underwater communications and sensing techniques using a gallium and nitride containing laser device configured to emit blue and/or green light. The techniques include LiDAR, LiFi, among others.

  • Patent number: 11296798
Abstract: There is a photovoltaic (PV) panel 10 including an array of photovoltaic (PV) elements (12). Each PV element (12) is stand alone and can be electronically addressed individually. The PV panel (10) also includes a number of spectral filters (14), in this example, a red filter (14r), a green filter (14g) and a blue filter (14b) arranged over some of the PV elements (12) to filter out the red, green and blue spectral components from white (combined red, green and blue) light emitted from a red-green-blue (RGB) transmitter. Data can be transmitted by modulating the spectral components of the RGB transmitter such that the data in each of the spectral components can be recovered from the electrical signal generated by the PV elements (12).
