A bone fusion system, including an implant template, a guide wire for insertion through the implant template, a plate for receiving the guide wire, and an alignment guide apparatus for coupling to the plate. Methods of using a bone fusion system for achieving bone fusion are also disclosed.

Abstract: Bone fusion system, devices, guide, implant and methods for using the bone fusion system, devices, guide and implant are disclosed. The fusion system includes an alignment guide and an implant. The alignment guide couples to the implant. The alignment guide includes a body, a fixation member engaging a first end of the body, and a tissue protector engaging a second end of the body. The implant includes a body portion, an extension portion extending away from a first end of the body portion, a curved portion extending away from a second end of the body portion, and a foot member extending away from the curved portion perpendicular to the body portion. Finally, methods for using the bone fusion system, devices, guide and implant are disclosed.

Abstract: A distraction kit including at least one trial insert, at least one handle for coupling to the at least one trial insert, a correction indication guide, and at least one implant. A method for performing a distraction arthrodesis including inserting at least one trial insert into a joint and selecting a trial insert of the at least one trial insert for correction of the joint in a first plane. The method also including rotating the selected trial insert in a medial-lateral direction for correction of the joint in a second plane and selecting the needed correction in the first plane and the second plane. The method further including marking at least one bone for the selected correction. Then, marking the implant with the correction indication guide to achieve proper placement of the implant and joint correction replication from the desired trial positioning. Implants, devices, and systems are also disclosed.

The bone fixation system includes an alignment guide with a first end and a second end, an alignment wire rotatably coupled to the first end of the alignment guide, and a coupling member slidingly engaging a first portion of the alignment guide near the first end. The plate includes a body including a first end and a second end, a plurality of lobes extending from the body, a plurality of screw holes extending through the body and each screw hole of the plurality of screw holes positioned in a lobe of the plurality of lobes, and an alignment hole positioned along a longitudinal axis of the body. A method of using a bone fixation system for fixation of at least two bones is also disclosed.

Abstract: Alignment guide systems, fixation guide devices, and methods for positioning and inserting an intramedullary nail are disclosed. The alignment guide system includes a targeting guide with a first end and a second end, an alignment wire rotatably engaging a second end of the targeting guide, and a guide sleeve insert engaging an opening in the first end of the targeting guide. The fixation guide device including a frame including a first end and a second end, a compression device slidingly coupled to the first end of the frame, and the intramedullary nail secured to a nail attachment apparatus of the frame. A method of inserting an intramedullary nail into two bones for fixation of the two bones is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention features new methods, apparatuses and devices for fixing adjacent bone segments, segments of a bony structure and adjacent vertebrate of a spine. The methods, apparatuses and devices utilize a new apparatus for forming a channel in a surface of the bone or bony structure segments or adjacent vertebra or a channel submerged within the bone or bony structure segments or adjacent vertebra. In more particular embodiments such apparatuses and methods including forming an arcuate channel and which channel can receive therein a curved rod or implant member, which also preferably is arcuate, and avoids the associated problems with prior cage or straight rod and screw systems. Also featured are systems, apparatuses and methods for repairing, replacing or augmenting the nucleus and/or annulus of a disc.
