Abstract: An object path evaluation system may include a data collection system including imaging sensors that automatically track ball movement along a surface. The imaging sensors are calibration to the surface to capture ball position coordinates and timestamps with respect to a path of the ball movement. A surface speed processor processes paths of a plurality of balls along the surface captured during live play to generate surface speed at the ball positions and interpolates the surface speeds to generate a continuous surface speed measurement across the surface. The surface speed measurements may be provided in stimp units. The continuous surface speeds may be incorporated into a heatmap including a visualization of the surface.

Abstract: A golf tournament management system may include a visualization system to generate graphical display data with respect to a golf course. A course variable specification unit may enable user specification of course variables including simulated sensor device placements, each simulated sensor device having a simulated field of view with respect to a simulated coverage area, and course setup variables. A simulation engine may execute play simulations of a player field on the golf course utilizing the course variables and output performance metrics with respect to simulated capture of balls, players, or both within the simulated coverage areas during play. The visualization system may provide field of view visualizations within the graphical display data comprising simulated field of view overlays representing the simulated coverage areas.
