  • Patent number: 10254066
Abstract: Implementations of ammunition round counting devices may include: a first module and a second module hingedly coupled together, the first module and the second module configured to open and close around a belt of ammunition; a counter module including one of at least two light emitting diodes (LEDs) and at least two light sensors or at least two proximity sensors; a display screen on an outside of the first module; and a battery pack operatively coupled with the counter module. The counter module may be configured to count a number of rounds in the ammunition belt that pass through the first module and the second module.

  • Publication number: 20140046574
Abstract: An engine control unit with distributed processing includes a main ECU and remote modules with sensor inputs and ignition and injector outputs. A bidirectional asynchronous CAN data bus and a square wave timing signal operatively connect the components. Synchronous ignition and ignition data and asynchronous sensor and control data are concurrently transmitted between components using CAN messaging. Synchronicity is accomplished using the timing signal. The rising edge of each pulse triggers dwell and injection start times, and the falling edge triggers ignition. Injection and dwell time values, the cylinders to dwell and fire, and the injectors to energize, are transmitted using CAN messaging. The remote modules process the control messages and timing signal and generate the appropriate ignition, injector, and pulse width modulation control signals. Alternatively, time stamp capabilities of the CAN bus topology are used for synchronization.

  • Publication number: 20040093952
Abstract: A pressure transducer comprises a Bourdon tube, a magnetic component and a GMR sensor. The Bourdon tube comprises a base, a tube attached to the base and a mechanical linkage converting movement of the tube into rotational movement of a shaft. The magnetic component is mounted to the shaft. The magnetic component emits a magnetic field. The GMR sensor is mounted relative to the magnetic component and is arranged to detect rotational movement of the magnetic component. The GMR sensor is adapted to output an electrical signal representative of rotation of said magnetic component.

  • Patent number: 4930454
Abstract: Disclosed is a catalytic combustor and systems for the boilerless stoichiometric production of a working fluid such as steam from a fuel-mixture comprised of a carbonaceous fuel and a diluent such as water mixed in a thermally self-extinguishing mass ratio. Production of the steam is by a controlled substantially stoichiometric process utilizing a combustor to provide steam over a wide range of heat release rates, temperatures and pressures for steam flooding an oil bearing formation. Even though formation characteristics change during a steam flooding operation, output steam of the combustor may be kept at a constant heat release rate by dividing the total amount of water passing through combustor between a first portion which is included in the fuel-mixture and a second portion which is injected into the heated products of combustion.
