  • Patent number: 11123839
Abstract: An angle grinder dust collection shroud includes mounting brackets which are attached to a shroud body via slots which allow the mounting brackets to move to different circumferential locations around the output shaft of the angle grinder as well and inwardly towards and outwardly away from the output shaft of the angle grinder. The mounting brackets are adjustable in their position around the angle grinder output shaft to allow them to engage the angle grinder while avoiding any mounting features for the angle grinder's stock blade guard.

  • Publication number: 20190125153
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner and filter cleaning system includes a filter cleaning mechanism which allows the filter to be cleaned without removal from the vacuum. Operation of the filter cleaning mechanism both flows air backwards through the filter and strikes the filter to more effectively clean the vacuum filter. The vacuum allows for filter cleaning and debris disposal without significant interruption of the use of the vacuum cleaner.

  • Patent number: 8978781
Abstract: A dust shroud assembly for a power tool includes a shroud portion, a barrel, and a helical spring. The barrel includes an upper portion slidably received within a first end portion of the shroud portion. The barrel defines a helical channel. The helical spring is at least partially rotatably engaged with the helical channel and rotationally fixed with respect to the shroud portion. The helical spring is configured to bias the barrel outwardly from the first end portion.

  • Publication number: 20140215752
Abstract: A vacuum system includes a filter cleaning mechanism which allows the filter to be cleaned without removal from the vacuum. This mechanism can include a carrying handle which is biased against the lid by a spring. The handle may be released from a vertical position, causing the handle to forcefully strike the lid and dislodge debris from the filter. The vacuum may include a spark arrestor disposed around the filter. The spark arrestor encloses the filter and surrounds the filter sides with a metal screen. The spark arrestor has holes formed in the bottom around the outer perimeter of the filter so that debris which is dislodged from the filter falls through the holes and into the vacuum canister.

  • Patent number: 8702478
Abstract: A universal dust shroud includes a unitary mounting bracket on top of the shroud body. The bracket includes a plurality of collar sections attached to the body via a ā€˜Zā€™ shaped joint which allows the collar sections to move radially inwardly and outwardly relative to each other to accommodate different angle grinders. The bracket may include slots formed at the base of the bracket. The slots allow air to flow in through the slots, out past the grinding disk, and to the vacuum port. As such, the slots can aid in cooling the grinder output and bearings, and helps keep dust and debris away from the bearings in order to extend the life of the grinder.

  • Patent number: 8523637
Abstract: A dust shroud for an angle grinder includes an access hatch which slides along the shroud body to selectively expose an edge of a grinding disc to allow grinding into a corner. The hatch remains attached to the shroud body in both the open and closed position, making the hatch easier to use and less likely to become lost, resulting in increased worker compliance in properly using the hatch.
