Patent number: 11892052Abstract: A temperature compensating shock strut health indicator system for use with a shock strut comprises a visual indicator comprising a plurality of sectors and a pointer configured to rotate with respect to the visual indicator to point to one of the plurality of sectors. The sector to which the pointer points to is dependent on the shock strut stroke (i.e., the position of the piston with respect to the cylinder). In various embodiments, the visual indicator includes various rings that correspond to a different temperature compensated ideal stroke whereby a crew member can correspond the pointer to the appropriate ring depending on ambient temperature. In various embodiments, the pointer comprises a temperature sensitive material configured to cause the pointer to rotate with respect to the visual indicator to actively compensate for temperature.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2022Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: GOODRICH CORPORATIONInventors: Vishal Sreekumar Menon, Basavaraj Bodki, Jason Bradley Allen, Adam J. Ditzler

Patent number: 11106739Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system stores a conversation containing a series of messages exchanged among a number of participants in a first document containing metadata for the conversation; a second document containing message content for the series of messages, wherein the message content includes a fixed position gap between starting or ending positions in consecutive messages in the series of messages; and one or more additional documents storing message metadata for individual messages in the conversation. Next, the system processes a first search across the series of messages in the conversation using an index of the set of documents. The system also processes, using the index, a second search within individual messages in the series of messages as a span query with a distance that is shorter than the fixed position gap.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2019Date of Patent: August 31, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Hari Shankar Sreekumar Menon, Shubham Gupta, Suruchi H. Shah, Ali Sadiq Mohamed, Parinkumar D. Shah

Publication number: 20190385069Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system retrieves, from a nearline data store, one or more updates representing recent activity for a member of an online network. Next, the system performs one or more queries using data in the updates to identify a set of candidates for recommending to the member. The system then applies one or more machine learning models to features for the set of candidates to generate a ranking of the set of candidates and updates the ranking based on additional features for an additional set of candidates from an offline data store. Finally, the system outputs, to the member, at least a portion of the updated ranking as connection recommendations in the online network.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2018Publication date: December 19, 2019Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Lingjie Weng, Aastha Jain, Hema Raghavan, Mengda Yang, Hongyi Zhang, Hari Shankar Sreekumar Menon, Shubham Gupta, Parinkumar D. Publication number: 20140208349Abstract: A method and system for uninterrupted broadcast content provisioning is disclosed. The method and system includes receiving one or more transport streams corresponding to one or more broadcast programs. The one or more transport streams may be transmitted using one or more of a satellite medium, a cable medium, and a terrestrial medium. One or more of the one or more received broadcast programs are then monitored using one or more hardware processor to detect an interruption in reception of the one or more of the one or more broadcast programs. On detecting an interruption, the one or more of the one or more broadcast programs are rendered automatically from one or more standby sources from the point of interruption of the one or more of the one or more broadcast programs.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2013Publication date: July 24, 2014Applicant: Wipro LimitedInventors: Rajith Raman Pillai Indusekharan Nair, Ajin Alias Mammoottil, Sreeraj Sreekumar Menon

Patent number: 6898588Abstract: A method and apparatus for viewing the effect of changes to an index for a database table on an optimization plan for a database query, such as an SQL statement. A virtual table is created which mimics the structure of an original table on the database. The virtual table is created by copying the original table, excluding any data in the original table. Any existing original indexes associated with original table are copied to define a virtual index associated with the virtual table. References in the query to the original table are replaced with references to the virtual table. The database management system then determines a new optimization plan for the query.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2001Date of Patent: May 24, 2005Assignee: Computer Associates Think, Inc.Inventors: Edward Kosciuszko, Sreekumar Menon, Hung-Vuong Vo
