    Abstract: A nozzle body of stainless steel surrounded by a single layer of turns of a strip electrical heater interconnects a die caster and a sprue of a cluster of casting cavities in a die casting apparatus. The heating element is surrounded by a protective tube and the ends of the gap between the protective tube and the nozzle body are closed by annular members.
