Abstract: An individual has a large number of health related transactions during their lifecycle right from birth. As technology is fast evolving and medical profession demanding accurate description of a situation for effective handling of the patients, it is very useful, and often a necessity, to keep a record of all of the health related transactions. A system and method for recording the large and growing number of health transactions in a structured manner, analyzing and relating of the same, and making them available to any agency is described. The structuring of the transactions is based on a set of dimensions and the analysis leads to the linking of the transactions across these dimensions and deriving of the meta-information for assisting the individual to be more health conscious.

Abstract: An advertisement system that provides subscribers with the most relevant advertisements based on their individual purchase prediction of the various products and contextual information such as location, ongoing public events, festivals and personal events. The system customizes the advertisements to suit the audiovisual, language, and textual caption preferences of the subscribers. System provides for tracking of various promotional offers made to the subscribers from the time the offer is made to the time it is redeemed by the subscriber. System consists of methods to learn (a) purchase predictions (b) preferred streaming schedule and (c) the subscriber's preferences in terms of audiovisual aspects of the advertisements. Purchase prediction for individual subscriber is derived from historical purchase data by time series analysis and the influence of events such as co-purchases of other products and organized events such as sales exhibitions and festivals is derived based on Bayesian network models.

This additional complexity is due to the direct competition with users who are used to analyzing of the images both syntactically and semantically. One of the ways to contain the complexity of image analysis is to exploit the domain semantics during image processing. A system and method to help in semantics based image processing involves the identification of one or more domain relevant semantic hierarchies and using of the same during image processing.

Abstract: Video on demand services rely on frequent viewing and downloading of content to enhance the return on investment on such services. Videos in general and movies in particular hosted by video portals need to have extensive annotations to help in greater monetization of content. Such deep annotations help in creating content packages based on bits and pieces extracted from specific videos suited to individuals' queries thereby providing multiple opportunities for piece-wise monetization. Considering the complexity involved in extracting deep semantics for deep annotation based on video and audio analyses, a system and method for deep annotation uses video/movie scripts associated with content for supporting video-audio analysis in deep annotation.

One of the important requirements of a communicating device is its reliability and traditionally, testing has been playing a major role in assessing and improving the reliability of the devices. However, testing in general and testing of mobile wireless devices in particular, requires complementary testing in realistic environments.

Abstract: Key to overall video license utilization lies in a cooperative sharing of licenses between the different branch operators of the licenses before the expiry of the licenses. A branch operator has a region of operation and stimulating the demand for licenses that are about to expire across multiple regions increases the overall license utilization. Billboard service provides subscribers with information and facility to preview and select movies for viewing online and it provides an opportunity for branch operators and central operator to maximize the utilization of available licenses. Central billboard provides a platform for branch operators to submit and trade their surplus licenses while a local billboard that is part of a branch operator infrastructure helps create demand for such surplus licenses. Central billboard supports both regulated and unregulated pricing and trading thereby enhancing the chances of trading of licenses that are about to expire.
