    Abstract: Disclosed is a sustainable plastic laminated film particularly for packaging soap bars by envelope wrapping method. Disclosed is a laminated film for packaging comprising: (i) a first layer of polyester; (ii) a second layer of polyester; and, (iii) an intermediate layer comprising polyethylene therebetween wherein thickness of the intermediate layer having polyethylene is less than thickness of either of the adjacent layers of polyester. It has been determined that at least some technical problems pertaining to adaptability on packaging machines can be overcome by introducing the intermediate layer having polyethylene between the two layers of polyester.
