  • Publication number: 20080016515
Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for troubleshooting one or more communications between a first device and a second device. A monitoring device disposed between the first device and the second device receives a message associated with the communication(s), analyzes the received message and stores the analyzed message whenever the analyzed message satisfies one or more troubleshooting criteria. The one or more troubleshooting criteria may include one or more data element criteria, one or more event-based criteria, one or more time-based criteria, one or more logical operators or a combination thereof. The method can be implemented using a computer program embodied on a computer readable medium having one or more code segments to perform the method steps.

  • Patent number: 7320017
Abstract: A method for communicating messages from a media gateway is disclosed. A thread pair comprising a communication protocol control stack thread and one or more media gateway adapter threads is assigned to a message from a media gateway. The thread pair is associated with a processor. The message is received from the media gateway at the communication protocol control stack thread, and is routed to a media gateway adapter thread corresponding to a communication protocol. The message is processed according to the communication protocol, and is sent to a call agent.

  • Publication number: 20070041566
Abstract: A method for processing subscriber calls is disclosed. A call agent receives signals associated with a first call from a first subscriber of a first point of presence. The first subscriber is associated with a first feature set. The call agent receives signals associated with a second call from a second subscriber of a second point of presence. The second subscriber is associated with a second feature set. A feature server is notified of the first call and the second call. A feature from the first feature set is provided to the first subscriber in response to the notification, and a feature from the second feature set is provided to the second subscriber in response to the notification.

  • Publication number: 20060149994
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, a method for replicating data for redundant network components is disclosed. Data associated with a call is received and stored in a shared memory database. The data is sent to a mate network component of the network component if the network component is in an active mode. Sending of the data to the mate network component is terminated if the network component enters a mode other than the active mode.

  • Patent number: 7007190
Abstract: A method for replicating data for redundant network components is disclosed. An entry of a replication table of a shared memory database is assigned to a stable call. The replication table is associated with a network component operable to process the stable call. Data associated with the stable call is received and is stored in the shared memory database. The entry is updated in response to storing the data. The data is sent to a mate network component of the network component, and the entry is updated in response to sending the data.

  • Patent number: 6888937
Abstract: A system for managing a network component of a communication network is disclosed. A process manager manages processes of a network component. A process communication module communicates data among the processes. A redundancy manager controls the processes of the network component in response to mate processes of a mate network component related as a redundant peer with the network component. An operating system interface provides an interface between the processes and an operating system.

  • Patent number: 6847991
Abstract: A method for communicating data among processes of a network component is disclosed. A process communication module receives a request from a first process of a network component. The request requests a message buffer operable to store data associated with the first process. A message buffer is allocated to the first process in response to the request, and the data is stored in the message buffer. The message buffer is inserted into a message queue corresponding to a second process of the network component. The second process is provided access to the message buffer to read the data.
