  • Patent number: 8856229
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products are provided for social networking. In one method, a network builder receives a digital object from the user. The digital object contains information associated with the user. The network builder extracts the information associated with the user from the digital object. The network builder further access the strength of relationships between the user and a plurality of other users, each associated with one or more social networks. The relationships strength is extracted based at least in part on the extracted information. The network builder then adds the user to one or more social networks based on the information associated with the user and the strength of the relationships between the user and the plurality of other users.

  • Patent number: 8413138
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for securely downloading management client software onto a device from an embedded stub in the device. In one embodiment, the stub client is activated by a message with credentials from a management server. The stub client, after verification of the credentials, downloads and activates a full management client. The management client then participates in any authorized management session with the device management server. The messages are preferably encrypted using a key that is based on the credentials. The credentials may be specific to the device and to the service provider associated with the device.

  • Publication number: 20050060364
Abstract: A system and method for wireless device management in a telecommunications network that includes a wireless device and a server. An agent executing on a wireless identity module that is operatively connected to the wireless device communicates with a service manager executing on the server. The information communicated by the agent may include the identity of the wireless device, the network identity of the wireless identity module, the physical location of the wireless device in the telecommunications network, the signal strength and bit error rate of the primary communication channel used by the wireless device, and a list of features supported by the wireless device. The service manager may then monitor the wireless device, and may proactively query the wireless device via the agent to ascertain the status of the wireless device and the quality of service provided to the wireless device by the telecommunications network.
