    Abstract: An intraocular support system is provided. This apparatus provides support when natural support structures are absent, diminished, or damaged. The apparatus may include a base that inserts into the internal scleral wall in the sulcus in an arched fashion that does not perforate the external scleral wall. It may be self-retaining with barb protrusions. It may include stabilizers that rest on the ciliary body. The base may include a modular junction that allows interchangeable extensions. The extensions may provide varied functions including intraocular lens support, capsular bag support, and accommodation. It may be applied in acute surgical conditions or in planned cases.

The pictorial marker may be adapted to utilize visual processing to provide accurate and reliable information regarding a predetermined surgical site in an easy, intuitive manner. The pictorial marker may be created at the time of the decision to proceed with a surgical procedure regarding the predetermined surgical site. A systemic apparatus may protect the pictorial marker from degradation, maintain the confidentiality of the pictorial marker and other patient identifying information, and secure the pictorial marker to an appendage of the patient nearest the predetermined surgical site.

    Abstract: An eyepiece adapter is provided. The adapter includes a tubular body having a first end, a second end, and a light path therethrough. The second end is releasably attachable to an eyepiece shaft of a viewing device. An image module may be attached to the tubular body. The image module may at least include an image sensor operable to receive and record a light image. The present invention may further include a beam splitter disposed within the tubular body. The beam splitter is positioned to direct a portion of the light image towards the first end of the tubular body and a portion of the light image towards the image sensor.
