Publication number: 20240041306Abstract: An endoscopic device for use in a patient's body in disclosed. The endoscopic device may include an outer sheath having a proximal end and a distal end, a suction tube inside the outer sheath, a handle coupled to the distal end of the outer sheath, and a cap on the proximal end of the outer sheath, positioned to seal the proximal end of the outer sheath, wherein the outer sheath comprises a sterile appliance, wherein the cap is structured to open in response to a force applied through the suction tube, and wherein the suction tube comprises an internal cavity.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 21, 2023Publication date: February 8, 2024Applicant: CEDARS-SINAI MEDICAL CENTERInventors: Ali Rezaie, Mark Pimentel, Srinivas Gaddam, Simon Lo, Laith Jamil, Kapil Gupta

Patent number: 11838701Abstract: In one embodiment, systems and method for detecting the intent of a connected optics/cable to operate in either a breakout mode or a non-breakout mode are provided. When a optics/cable is used to connect a port of a spine node to ports of one or more leaf nodes, initially both the spine node and the leaf nodes may automatically configure themselves to operate in breakout mode depending on the optics. Later, the spine node and one or more leaf nodes may exchange speed and optics information using a link layer discovery protocol or another protocol. If the exchanged speed and optics information indicates a mismatch, then the spine node or the leaf node may retain the breakout mode. If the exchanged speed and optic information do not indicate a mismatch, then the spine nodes and the leaf nodes may automatically re-configure themselves in non-breakout mode.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Prabhu Balakannan, Shrawan Chittoor Surender, Ashwin Ramani, Eshwar Yedavalli, Srinivas Gaddam, Umamaheswararao Karyampudi

Publication number: 20230071885Abstract: According to some implementations of the present disclosure, a system for identifying individuals at risk for PDAC includes a CT scanner, a memory, and a control system. The CT scanner is configured to generate CT image data associated with a pancreas of a patient. The memory stores machine-readable instructions. The control system includes one or more processors configured to execute the machine-readable instructions. The CT image data associated with the pancreas of the patient is received. The received CT image data is processed to output a set of CT image features. The set of CT image features is received as an input to a machine learning PDAC prediction algorithm. An indication of whether the patient is at high risk for PDAC is determined as an output of the machine learning PDAC prediction algorithm.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2021Publication date: March 9, 2023Applicants: CEDARS-SINAI MEDICAL CENTER, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PERMANENTE MEDICAL GROUPInventors: Bechien Wu, Srinivas Gaddam, Debiao Li, Stephen Jacob Pandol, Touseef Ahmad Qureshi

Patent number: 8566434Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for managing operational facilities that is of the type which utilizes predefined events to carry out managing operations for the facilities. The system includes one or more servers adapted to receive events from a client and forward the events to a clearinghouse via a communication link. The system further includes one or more clients, each of which has a unique login identity, adapted to selectively send events to the server via the communication link. Also included is a clearinghouse connected to each of the server and each of the client via the communication link for selectively storing data from each server and each client in a database, and being adapted to selectively authorize predetermined events by each client according to the login identity of each such client, to selectively schedule predetermined events in response to data stored in the database and to monitor the status of all events stored in the database.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2009Date of Patent: October 22, 2013Assignee: TangoPoint, Inc.Inventors: Frank Labedz, Srinivas Gaddam
