  • Publication number: 20130090836
Abstract: A control system for an engine having at least one manifold, a throttle, and a crank wheel includes a pressure sensor to measure a pressure in the at least one manifold and generate a pressure signal representing the pressure measured, a revolution sensor to measure a rate of rotation of the crank wheel of the engine and generate a rotation signal representing the rate of rotation measured, a processor in communication with each of the pressure sensor and the revolution sensor to receive the pressure signal and the rotation signal, analyze the pressure signal and the rotation signal based upon an instruction set to estimate a position of the throttle, and generate a control signal in response to the analysis of the pressure signal and the rotation signal; and an engine system to receive the control signal to control a function of the engine system.
