The first payment comprises a partial payment for the purchase. The method further comprises, electronically sharing information associated with the purchase with at least one user, associated with the first user, to inform the at least one user about incomplete payment for the purchase. The method further includes completing the purchase, socially, by combining part-payments from one or more of other users that are socially connected to the first user.

Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment a method and system for updating web-based sources associated with a user based on the monitored non-internet based activities in the offline real world are disclosed. The method and system includes summarizing a plurality of attributes of a user, selecting a subset of attributes from the plurality of attributes, generating an offline-verifiable identity certificate (OVIC) based on the selected subset of attributes, issuing the offline-verifiable identity certificate to the user, monitoring the non-internet based activities of the user, and updating the subset of web-based sources associated with the user. The plurality of attributes is collected from web-based sources. The subset of the attributes is embedded in the issued OVIC and the non-internet based activities are associated with the issued OVIC. The web-based sources are updated based on the monitored non-internet based activities.

The method includes receiving a first quantity of a first currency. The method further comprises, electronically converting the first quantity to a first set of marketplace credit units (MCUs), the first set having value equivalent to that of the first quantity upon encashment. Further, the method comprises facilitating a transaction using the first set or a portion of the first set in a marketplace.
